  • When the assistant/lover of a Poet and Magazine Publisher is killed Nichols and Wheeler must figure out the motive and means to the killing. Beside the Poet there is a number of colleagues, supporters, and former lovers of the Poet to pick from.

Somehow this episode felt like a little bit of filler compared with the last few. The acting was excellent but the story left a little to be desired.

Nichols and Wheeler are investigating the killing of the the assistant who was the one true love of the poet. Of course the Poet is the main suspect until he comes up dead half way through the episode. From here on out it looks like a crime of passion.

Pretty simplistic and wrapped in a neat little package for the detectives. The only really clever bit was Nichols writing the poem at the end which made the killer confess. The poem was very similar to the one the actual Poet wrote sometime before so it sounded like something he would have written. Nichols and Wheeler do not agree so much in this episode and it was interesting to see them work out their differences. Not a whole lot else to say about this episode other than it was enjoyable even thought the storyline was a little weak. Thanks for reading...
