Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Goof: Johnny writes the word "marquise" in big letters on the back of his hand. In the next scene (with very little time passing in episode time), no trace of the writing is to be found.

    • Goren tells Dr. Dwyer that he has a family history of schizophrenia, this is the first confirmation of his mother's conditions only hinted at previously. In Episode 1.04 "The Faithful", Goren responds to a compliment on his treatment of a mentally ill character by saying that he has had "lots of practice" in his life.

  • QUOTES (5)

    • Reddick's Attorney: (Discussing Reddick's appeal) I thought you would have wanted to discuss your legal predicament.
Ron Carver: The only predicament I have is wondering what tie to wear to your client's execution.

    • Robert Goren: She wasn't driven to kill by rage. She did it out of love.
      Ron Carver: Love?
Robert Goren: It's a many splendored thing.

    • Robert Goren: What did I tell you about the negligent dad?
Alex Eames: I don't know, I forgot to write it down.

    • Alex Eames: Holding hands with a serial killer. That sounds like probable cause for a search warrant.

    • Alex Eames: Serial killer groupies. And I thought I was pathetic with my ABBA fan club card.

  • NOTES (0)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • When Det. Goren asks who manages the building where Dr. Dwyer lives, the superintendent replies, 'Gump & Worsley.' Lorne "Gump" Worsley was the goaltender for the New York Rangers in 1952.
