This was a typically watchable episode of CI nothing that great despite a telling and shocking statement by Eames at the end. The case had the usual revolving bad guys till we landed on the real one. I was so glad it wasn't the typical child abuse story they tried to make it out to be as a red herring. Amy Acker did a good job as the waif with a secret who turned out to be the most diabolical thing in the episode. Eames shocked most of us fans by answering the prophecy of Acker. Which was she'll never be a boss because of her association with Goren. Her answer to him asking if she felt the same way was it's too late now. Wow talk about a lack of loyalty it was this moment that made me score it as high as I did and some of my fellow fans to over score the episode.moreless

    • In the beginning of the episode, before the dentist gets killed, he's giving the "dental gift packages" to the little kids. He gives out the first one, then to the left of the screen, by the inner room, you see a set of arms stick out indicating to the next kid to move up to the crew's spot so the kid will be in place to get his dental gift. Edit
    • Even though Jim Kettle died of an asthma attack, his heart should have still been beating for a bit after he passed out from lack of air. Yet even though he crashed face first through a glass coffee table onto a hardwood floor and the M.E. says he had severe facial cuts, there is no pool of blood shown under him. Edit
    • The coroner tells Goren and Eames that there was no evidence of sexual molestation, and they decided immediately that the dentist was an innocent victim. There are often no signs of molestation between pedophiles and the young boys they hurt (unless sodomy is involved). Unfortunately most pedophiles don't leave any physical evidence. Edit

    • Dr. Elizabeth Rodgers: Jim Kettle was allergic to cigarettes, dust, mold, pet dander, car exhaust and cleaning fluids – the guy was allergic to New York. Edit
    • Robert Goren: Yeah, your marathon picture, here. (to Bing Schorr) Did you see this? It's– she says, "Under four hours." (to Leslie) And that's an official Yale hat you have. You get this on the street? Leslie LeZard: I got it at the reunion. Alex Eames: No, see, we checked. You never matriculated. Edit
    • Robert Goren: (of Leslie LeZard) You worried about what she said, that your career is tainted by me? Alex Eames: I used to. Robert Goren: And now? Alex Eames: It's too late. Edit

    • This episode appears to be ripped from the headlines of the dental products found contaminated with diethylene glycol worldwide, beginning in 2007. Counterfeit Colgate toothpaste imported from China containing the contaminant was blamed for illnesses and deaths in Panama, Nigeria, America, and England. This followed the 2006 deaths deaths in Panamania from D.E.G.-tainted cough syrup, also from China. Edit
