    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (2)

      • Goren describes 218th St. as "where the Hudson meets the East River."  Actually, those two rivers never come close to meeting.  The East River branches east over Queens at about 96th St. (five miles away).  Both ends of 218th St. are, in fact, by the Harlem River.  The Hudson does meet the Harlem by Inwood, but it's still about a half mile away.

      • Eames' father tells Goren that he doesn't have any grandchildren, which contradicts the fact that Eames gave birth to her sister's child via surrogacy in the Season 3 episode "F.P.S." when Kathryn Erbe was pregnant in real life.

    • QUOTES (2)

    • NOTES (3)

      • Nitpicks: The bar where most of the action takes place in this episode is on the corner of West 218th Street, (partially blocked)rman Ave and Inwood Place, according to the street sign on which the camera focuses. This intersection doesn't exist in New York City. There is an intersection between Seaman Avenue and 218th street, but that doesn't have an "R" in it. Sherman Avenue is in Inwood, but it doesn't intersect with 218th Street. Inwood Place is not a street in NYC at all.

Incidentally, 218th Street is not the last street in Manhattan, technically, as is implied in this episode. It is the last street west of Broadway on the island of Manhattan. On the island, 220th Street and 9th Avenue are further up on the East side of Broadway. Manhattan actually extends past the island as well for several more blocks.
