  • Bill O'Reilly blasted this episode

    1.0
This episode was a turning point in SVU. It followed its parent show Law & Order in becoming extremely biased with its liberal agenda. Its deals with the illegal immigartion problem with portraying the conservatives as extremists.
  • Ice-T's terrible acting overshadowed a very interesting, important and prevelent issue.

    6.5
Well I thought that this COULD have been an amazing episode. It had everything: a compelling storyline, an issue that is prevelent almost everywhere in north america, it had a good court scene, and emotions. What ruined it was the fact that it was a Fin episode and we got to marvel in Ice-T's less than sub-par acting skills.

I wish that instead of Fin being the detective, it could have been anybody else. Sometimes it feels like they just give Fin an episode centred around him because it's in Ice-T's contract or something ... i don't know, it was a waste of a very good storyline, in my opinion.moreless
  • Poor Episode

    4.0
I agree with most when I say this episode was very poorly written. There have been a few fin episodes better than this and more emotionally invested. But I believe most people are rating this episode very poorly because the episodes blasts conservatism as it blasts o'riley and limbaugh. The reviews that gave a bad review are very biased. I didn't base this episode on the political direction but the plot, the real substance of the episode. This episode like i said was poorly written, and it don't seem to follow the pace of other regular law & order SVU episodes. The fact that Cabot lost this particular case was ludicrous and the ending was left to be admired. I gave this a fair unbaised score of 4/10.moreless
  • Worst SVU episode in memory.

    1.0
It pains me to write that this episode was the worst SVU episode I can remember, as I have always been a big fan of this show. There are certain allowances I always give Law and Order in general, such as the occasional recycling of themes, the odd poor acting performance, etc. Even legal outcomes that would be unlikely in the real world are often forgivable because the dramatic tension leading up to the verdict, and the valid points made along the way, make them worth watching. But this was just silly. Really, really silly. Too bad too, because the notion of racism and ultra-conservative fanaticism as a form of mental illness is interesting, but this episode never came close to taking a serious look at the possibility.moreless
  • This episode was about immigration, they used extremes on both sides of the issue to apparently try to make a point. "the act of entering this country illegal is a law that can be and should be broken". enforce that law and you are a bigot and a racist.moreless

This was one of the worst SVU episodes for the sake of political garbage. they had no facts, but lots of propaganda, miss information and slanted facts very disappointing. stick to the show not politics please. this show can be pretty good even if i disagree with the point of views sometimes they at least have good writers and the appearance of both sides of the story this episode was a soap box and very poorly done at that who ever wrote this one needs to take a deep breath and objectively look at the facts not just what some one told them was going on... very disappointing. NBC is killing of :CI next year maybe they are looking to do the same with :SVUmoreless

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Goof: When Nicole Gleason comes back to explain to Tutuola why the story was not on the front page, she says, "...So I heard you got a lead out of it." When Fin starts his answer "What I got is a waste of time chasing delivery boys...", the camera shot is from his back side but you can see that his lips are not moving.

    • Goof: While talking to Cragen, the Chief of Detectives wears mixed stars showing two different ranks on his shirt and jacket. His shirt collar and the shoulders of his jacket have four stars, while the lapel of his jacket has three stars.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Carver: Limbaugh, Beck, O'Reilly, all of 'em, they are like a cancer spreading ignorance and hate...They've convinced folks that immigrants are the problem, not corporations that fail to pay a living wage or a broken health care system...

    • Lawyer: He even referred to people from Canada as "Mexicans with sweaters."

    • Olivia Benson: When I was dating that guy at the Ledger I got to know this woman, her name was Nicole.
Fin Tutuola: 1PP said no press.
Olivia Benson: She's cute, I could introduce you.
Fin Tutuola: I don't need help hooking up.

    • Fin Tutuola: (reading a dead girl's T-shirt) "Jesus Loves Me." Somebody else sure didn't.
