  • A man rapes a girl following instructions off the internet.

    9.0
Free speech v. endangerment? This is what Alex has to figure out after a man admits to raping a girl and leaving her body in a suitcase on a public bus when she asphyxiated on her own vomit. Right on the internet were how to instructions to rape targeted at sex offenders by a porn company. When the head of the company is put on trial, it really leaves the viewers with baited breath. There are some great moments during the investigation ranging from the rapists sickening yet heartfelt confession, to a humorous scene when Elliot and Olivia invade a film set belonging to the porn company. This episode brings, yet again, pageantry and porn front and center. Names like Jon-Benet Ramsey and Claudia Schiffer are heard through out. This was an excellent episode for an excellent series.moreless
  • This was an average level episode of law and order: special victims unit, though was still worth watching.

    8.3
This was an average level episode of law and order: special victims unit, though was still worth watching. It dealt with mainly sexual offenders and one special murder of a young girl, but this all led to a court case against a website that had repeatedly emailed registered abusers and showing them materials that was then used by this guy to carry out a crime. Exciting and worth while episode to watch by any respect. That is why I think that this episode of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit was a valid, entertaining episode to watch, even if it was not one of the best ever.moreless

First let me say that this episode is a brave attempt to highlight a controversial issue. Productionwise it has alot of good moments that will grip you, shock you and churn your stomach.

The actors do a good job to actually make you sympathise with their char's pov. The shocking and upset nature of this episode will not be to everyones taste and a certain points I contemplated changing the channel several times.

Not really an action oriented episode, the powerful mood generated in each scene is improved upon with each development of the subject matter with the plot.

Never knew virtually manipulated graphics of women could be made younger. Even though its seems like a really simple idea, it demonstrates the base nature of some people to do anything (forgetting the spirit of the law as long as it doesnt break it! Frankly, the subject matter shocked me enough so that on this occsion (as few before) I really wanted the defendent to be found guilty!

This is more of a courtroom episode, with the main point of it focused there. The ending though logical and topped with resonance does leave the matter up for further debate, which probably reflects the (then) nature of this point of law.

You will enjoy this episode if and only if you dont mind being exposed to the subject matter at hand and the unsatisfactory nature that this issue is probably dealt with in real life. That said, with the ending it provides for the defendent you will no doubt find the result and finale satisfying if only a little.moreless
