15 seasons later, it's still got it

I loved the episode! I'm glad that Olivia kicked ass (although she has/had some mental/physical scars of her own). The one thing I wanted to see (other than Stabler coming to give his friend a hug after her traumatic ordeal) was that b*tch-lawyer in tears. I really wanted to see this snide lady crying over what happened to her parents.

The writer talks about the show reinventing itself to be more like a cable series, and that's very interesting. He also notes that SVU has outlived Sopranos and The Wire. Add Dexter and Breaking Bad to that list, very soon! I wonder if this is an inevitable change, if SVU will lead the way for other broadcast shows?

That's the way it sounds. I'm hoping they won't go too far. I avoid watching shows like Breaking Bad because they sound so dark and depressing. SVU is as dark as I want to go.

It would be urealistic for Olivia to escape this without any repercussions. Many fans are screaming about her getting hurt, but it's gonna happen. The think to remember is she's going to survive, and we'll get to see that, too.

Great, they're having the show turn into full-blown torture-porn. I'm getting sick of how much "tragedy" they're throwing at the main characters, it's either soapy or grotesque, and this looks the latter. I may drop SVU this year.
