  • In this the writers make it plainly obvious that they don't intend for Dani to be around for too much longer.

    7.0
In this one the writers give us a bit more into Dani's character. We already knew that she was tough, high strung, and most likley not cut out for special victims. But she is passionate about her job and she does the best she can to get the job done. However, it's blatantly obvious that the writers are using her inability to deal with victims appropriately to define Dani's character so that it's clear she won't be hanging around for long.

I don't think I've ever seen a repeat rapist on any crime show before so I have to give them credit. That was different. Although I did pick up on one plot hole. I won't mention it since it would require telling the end of the story.

All in all it's a fairly good episode. 7 out of 10moreless
  • urine sample rapist...ovulation kits...and we meet a cop killer.

    10
It's interesting to learn a little more about Dani Beck each episode. She's really become a favorite of mine (although she is a little abrasive) and I'll be sad to see her go (?) as the scenes for next week show that Olivia will be back. I do hope they keep Dani on board though.

This episode focused on a serial rapist that asks women to pee for him. When one of the victims was asked what the rapist did with the urine she answered that she didn't see because she didn't want to look. Right away I thought he was some kind of freak (no offense to those who enjoy it...) and had drunk it. We later learn that he was taking them so he could find out when these women were ovulating (rapist had a lot of 'em in his home) so he could rape them and get them pregnant. One of the victims, when visited, was pregnant. They went to talk to her because they realized while the other victims had been raped yet again (and one or two of them three times) they were curious why this vicitm was only raped once. Why did he not go back again for her? She was asked if he had raped her again (in front of her husband) and she said she had not. They figure out who the rapist is and they search his home where they find the ovulation kits so it is without a doubt the man they were searching for. Also found in his home is a list of women (by initials) with a calendar next to them showing when he had raped them. Included there was the pregnant woman...showing proof that she was indeed raped a few days after the first time. She is compelled to do a paternity test and of course forced to admit that the rapist is the father of her baby. The husband walks out on her (at the hospital). It seems they had spent a year trying to get pregnant and he couldn't deal with trying to raise a rapists child. Goodbye then....the child is innocent and didn't ask to be conceived in the way he/she was....to deny the child a good life with a man who is married to his mother (and is not biologically his father) is a shame because the child shouldn't suffer because his father was a rapist. The husband could have at the very least TRIED to be a father before assuming he could not. We learn that one of the two "men" that killed her husband has died in prison and she goes to see his body. Turns out that the two "men" are 15 yr olds. The remaining boy tries to contact Beck (by collect) and Stabler gives her some advise about how to handle that. In the end she asks Stabler to accompany her to Attica. She sees the boy and tells him she is no longer going to dwell on her husband's killer and the end (which was excellent...brilliant....) she shows him pictures of herself with her husband as she tells him she wanted him to see what he killed.

NBC better keep Dani....she compliments the show very well.moreless
  • an ok episode...

    8.7
This episode storyline was decent. ITs just that simple. it wasn\'t anything particularly special, just seemed like a filler until Mariska Hargitay comes back, but all the episodes have seemed that way. THe idea of a seriel rapist trying to impregnant people was very well written, however that storyline was once again over shawdowed by the Dani Beck back story. THe writers have given us far too imformation about some replacement chracter who is going to leave some time in the near future. There needs to be less about her character, and more about the characters that we actually care about....or atlest more about the crime....

all and all it was a pretty good episode...moreless
  • Ok with good plot but the acting was not all there...

    8.5
Ok I liked the plot and the idea of the serial killer. It would have been nicer to see more of a build up, maybe a few more vics would have mde it carry better. Over all it just seemed that this episode was just killing time until next week when Liv comes back. Dani's acting just was way over and top. It was great her charector showed feeling but it was over done. I was happy to see that the pregant lady came forward to help but the rapist behind bars but I ddin't like how they left the husband still angry and not being able to look past or understand why she kept the baby. That was so sad :(moreless
  • Umm...Elizabeth Hassenback?

    1.0
Did anybody notice something weird about that name, Elizabeth Hassenback. In the episode, she got raped right? Well, first of all that name is so close to the talk show host and Survivor contestant Elisabeth Hasselbeck. And didn't she get stalked by a man soon before they filmed this show? Law & Order does base their episodes on real stories so maybe that means something. She'll probably be mad. I have to write 100 words so lets talk about Elisabeth and Survivor. Who wishes she should've of won, I do. She was the best contestant Survivor has ever had, EVER!moreless
