When a six-year-old girl who was critically injured in an apparent robbery gone bad and later dies is found to have tested positive for a sexually transmitted disease, detectives investigate the family, the store clerk, and the son of a prominent attorney who had appeared to foil the crime. After evidence turns up that the little girl's older sister was dating the alleged sexual predator, Cabot has to work some legal magic to eradicate the deal that had been made with the older sister for her testimony.moreless

A very disturbing crime, with plenty of twists and turns.

The crimes committed against that poor little girl are horrific, and what an emotional blow to discover who had committed them?

The twists and turns just keep coming in this case. First, a wrong place, wrong time shooting turns out to be a carefully calculated murder, then the victim's sister is revealed to be the evil behind the whole scheme, but just after she is granted immunity from prosecution.

It's all very exciting, but the episode packs an emotional punch, too. There is the tragedy of the Kurtz family, opening their hearts and their homes to a poor, victimised child, only to have her turn out to be the devil. Despite myself, I felt sorry for Missy for a moment, when Huang delivered his assessment- that she was a goner before age 12. And that last scene, where she doesn't even care if she is executed, because she pretty much doesn't have a soul left.

I struggled to understand the Kurtzes position in supporting Missy even when they knew what she had done. Sure, there is a parent's unconditional love for their child, but realistically, I think there is probably a point where a parent can't love their child anymore. When the child you rescued and gave a loving home to rapes and murders her six year old sister, I think you have crossed that line.

A very disturbing episode, and difficult themes to deal with.moreless

Good episode, the one that first got me hooked.

What to say about this episode? Wonderful, wonderful plot. Not only a good plot, but highly original as well. Plus in classic SVU fashion, theres always some big twist, and having Missy rape the younger sister and have her murder set up? Now that is one cold hearted girl. Plus, I have no clue who played Missy, but that girl creeped me the heck out! Espessally in that one part where the girl goes to Cabot "You cant kill me, I'm already dead." I was like under my blanket almost quivering in fear from that. Plus, this episode has a special place in my heart simply because like I said, this was my first ever episode, after I saw this, I was totally hooked. Anyway, great episode, Overall: 8.5/10 EO shippiness: 2/10moreless

I can not belive who a pwsone can do thoes thing it so so evil and mean the wrost part is tha the victim was her little sister .a sweet child and inocend, Well a child is killed and the exam said that she have a sexual desease the team think that his fathe could be the reponsable of this but went the older sister axam soid that she have the same desease the team found tha she was the form a home wer his fathe rape her .Dr huang said that she not more a person including tha she said that she not have soul .I do not knoow how she used fhis girlfrend and sister to make his evils thing like that why only for fun.

I con not bilive went cabot was trying to give her aopsion for not conden her to the dsed and she just said that she no have a soul ,in my opinion she have a demon...

After a six year old is critically injured in a video store shooting, Detectives Benson and Stabler are calling in when she is tested positive for gonorrhea. They begin the investigation by looking at those we were close to the victim, including her family. They turn their sights on the boy who worked at the video store when they find that he was dating her older sister. What the Detectives are not expecting is when they find that the sister was behind it all, and tried to use the shooting to keep her sister quiet on the sexual abuse.

This was a decent episode. It is scary that some kids are so heartless and have no remorse for anything. When the episode starts you would never suspect that the sister was involved. But in reality she is the one who set it all up and it is a roller coaster ride for the Detectives to uncover it all.moreless

- This episode appears to be ripped from the headlines of the Tammy Homolka case in Ontario, Canada. At only 15, Tammy was raped by her older sister's boyfriend (later husband) Paul (Bernardo) Teale after having been drugged by her older sister, Karla. Tammy died as a result. Karla (Homolka) Teale had made a deal with the Crown regarding the time she was to do in jail, and despite Karla not having fulfilled her end, only two more years was added to her original ten year sentence. Karla Teale was released from prison in July 2005.
