  • God Cop? Bad Cop? Dirty Cop? Definitely a dead ADA but nothing else seems certain.

    2.5
When an ADA from Brooklyn dies after falling (or perhaps being pushed?) off a roof, the first person on the scene is a fellow police officer who annoys Benson by hanging around the crime scene and possibly compromising it.

From here on in, I think the writers completely lost the plot and that's a shame for a show that has been so consistently excellent for so long.

The entire episode was convoluted and confusing. It was also extremely boring and that's a sure sign that the writers are having a bad day. I found myself not caring who was responsible for the death of the ADA and I didn't care who had stolen the drug money that was missing either. The saving grace was, as usual, the excellent acting by the regular cast members but I really hope the writers do better next week.moreless
  • Benson and older hott female cop delve into finding out who killed hott cop's ada friend. Much drama ensues and coverups to the max.

    4.0
Where was everyone besides Benson and Fin? Not only that but the episode just kept us in a circle of people as the culprit. I just don't know what else to say. Maybe that is why I also find this episode to be a dud. Not much to comment on it. But because this form needs more I guess I have to say that there was also something that just irked me about one of the characters some unexplained facial twitches distracted me. Also certain camera shots were shoddy and did not make sense for what was being put out there.moreless

    6.5
For the record, this episode never had anything to do with special victims, so how Benson got the call is anyone's guess. That said, the story was interesting. Cover up conspiracies never get old, apparently. Benson flies solo here, aided mostly by Sunny, our extra-special guest star of the week. God knows what Stabler's up to. My main complaint is Shohreh jibberish, the actress who played Sunny. She annoyed the living hell out of me, her voice, her mannerisms, her smugness at the end, everything. In the end, not a bad show, but I would have rather seen this on Criminal Intent.moreless
  • Worst of the season.

    1.0
With Stabler taking the day off with the flu, it seems as though the writers did too. I couldn't decide if the episode was convoluted or boring until about 45 minutes into the hour when I realized I didn't care and just started surfing the internet with the episode on in the background. Poor acting, poor writing, just all around poor. SVU has been better this year than in the last several, but this one was a bump in the road. I didn't realize how important Christopher Meloni was to SVU. Without him, the show doesn't really work for me.moreless
  • Best SVU ever! Loved it! Excellent acting between Mariska and Shohreh. Put Shohreh on the show.

    10
Dirty was one of the best Law and Order SVUs I have ever seen! I absolutely oved it. Especially the interaction between Mariska and Shorheh. Great story and superb acting. I loved the story because as a woman in the later years of her career, I could so identify both with what might have led to the character, Sunny's predicament - the underlying fear of the future and unfulfilled dreams. I was on the edge of my seat and trying to figure out if the character Sunny was dirty or not up until the very end.

I would like to see Shohreh on the show more often. I was like what a great investigator and then at the end that look between Shohreh and Mariska - especially Shohreh's scared the heck out of me. Mariska is always great but the two together were amazing!moreless
