Goof: While Tutuola is speaking with a member of the Narcotics Anonymous meeting, he incorrectly refers to Ronnie Marshall as 'Ronnie Marsh'.
This is the only episode (so far) where, as part of an undercover operation, Benson and Stabler are seen dressed in police uniforms.
Olivia Benson: Find out anything else?
M.E. Melinda Warner: Nothing that won't break your heart. Based on the deformity of her teeth, she sucked her thumb a lot. And she loved to jump rope.
Elliot Stabler: How'd you figure that out?
M.E. Melinda Warner: The scuff marks on her shoes. I ruined a pair the same way when I was her age.
Terry Jessup: Girls are lucky, they can play with dolls, boys can't.
Fin Tutuola: I had dolls.
Terry Jessup: You did?
Fin Tutuola: Yeah ... G.I. Joe, Batman...
Terry Jessup: Those are action figures.
(Overhearing Fin and Munch arguing.)
Elliot Stabler: Lover's quarrel?
Fin Tutuola: It's going to be a domestic disturbance if Munch don't get out of my face!
Ronnie Marshall: What's your problem?
Fin Tutuola: Your daughter's dead, and there's not one cell in your junkie body that gives a damn!
This episode appears to be ripped from the headlines of the Rilya Wilson and Precious Doe cases. Rilya was a five-year-old who died because she 'fell through the cracks' of the DSS system in FL. Precious Doe was a pseudonym assigned to an unidentified female corpse (presumed to be 3 to 4 years of age) discovered on April 28, 2001, in Kansas City, Missouri, and identified four years later, after heavy media attention, as Erica Maria Michelle Green. Her mother and step-father were charged with her murder.
In this episode, the suspect, a doll collector, is lured to the police by informing him that a collector's doll, a Virginia Bell is waiting at a doll shop for him to pick up. Virginia Bell is the name of a stripper of the '50s and early '60s famed for her generous proportions.
