  • Eh, it was okay.

Always happy to see a Benson episode but this was just poorly written. The dialouge was klunky and the plot was pretty thin. Mariska Hargitay was amazing as ususal (Can we PLEASE get that woman an Emmy?!), but Craig Bierko as Olivia's old flame Andy left a lot to be desired. And this coming from the girl who absolutely adored him in the "Music Man" revival a few years back. I also wish we could have had more Munch, Fin, and Stabler. I mean it's great that Liv gets to hang out with an old boyfriend (oh look at the minimal sexual tension!) but, really, wouldn't it be more interesting to see Liv squirm with an ex under the watchful eye of the other detectives? Just a thought. But like I say about every episode that I feel is only fair, even the worst SVU episode makes for a great night of television.moreless
  • Law and Order Special Victims Unit!

Mike Baxter and his fellow jail mate Double D break out. Baxter was overheard when he said that he had some unfinished business to attend to in New York City. The Detectives of the Special Victims Unit are notified because there is the chance that Baxter might try to contact his ex girlfriend and her son, who he was accused of molesting. Baxter is willing to do whatever it takes to prove that he was wrongfully accused of this crime. He wants to clear his name before his mother, who is dying of cancer, passes away. He holds Lee, the young man who accused him of the assault, along with Detective Benson in order to prove his innocence.

This was a good episode. It gave you a chance to see Detective Olivia Benson working alongside another man, rather than just with her normal partner Detective Elliot Stabler. It was interesting to see the tension that was between Olivia and Andy, because they used to date. I also liked the hostage scene because it kept you wondering what was going to happen next.moreless

This episode tells the story of a known rapist escaping from jail, only as it turns out he is not a rapist at all. However, to get to this truth he takes Benson and his accuser hostage. After a rescue attempt by Olivia and a DNA test we come to find that his accuser was actually molested by his cousin Jeremy, stealing ten years from this man's life and causing irrepreble harm to his character and his family's view of him. Only at Olivia and the SVU's squads hands does he finally see the justice. His accuser also recieves the vindication and freedom from his lies that he deserves.

Milo Ventimiglia guest stars in a great performance.moreless
