Episode Summary

EDIT
After a young woman is found raped and murdered near a nightclub, with five hundred dollars stuffed into her mouth, Benson and Stabler follow the fingerprint trail on the money to attorney Jason Whitaker, whose sole responsibility seems to be handling the trust for the Duvall family. Soon detectives are convinced that Gabriel Duvall is their rapist, but don't have quite enough evidence to put him away. A.D.A. Novak is working on both the case and a terrified former victim when she is brutally attacked in her office late at night.moreless

  • The best episode they ever made so far! Gabriel Duvall was so hot in this episode...I watch it everyday. A very clever and interesting episode. Alfred Molina is very intriguing by the way he plays his caracters. Love Gabriel, love the episode.moreless

Gabriel Duvall comes from a wealthy family. He was raised by a mother that thinks her son is perfect.

Eleanor Duvall: "He couldn't done it Arthur. He was raise better than that.

Eleanor Duvall: Well we're all built differently that's what makes us unique!

Eleanor Duvall: Gabriel was and is a perfect son.

With that attitude, Gabriel got used since he was a child to never be punish for his bad actions. He becomes a rapist because he was surrounded by women. His nanny took care of him until he was 14 years old! She would touch him and manually cause him to ejaculate while giving him his bath at 14. I understand why he grew up with hatred with women.moreless
  • Law and Order Special Victims Unit!

    8.0
A group of skateboarders find a dead body, along with five hundred dollars left at her body. After a police dog traces the scent of the victim to an apartment upstairs, they find that there was more money left with the body, but it was stolen by a bystander. CSU finds a condom wrapper stuck to some of the money that was left with the body and trace it back to a women's club three blocks away. They find that the victim was the bathroom attendant at that club. They find that the reason no one reported her missing was because her father thought that she had just gone from that job to her second job. Benson and Stabler start to look for a serial rapist when they find that several other women have been raped and murdered in the same manner. This was a good episode. I thought it was funny when Olivia went into the women's club and acted like she was interested in joining. You always see that when they are dealing with any kind of club such as that. The look on the owner's face was priceless when Olivia showed her badge. It was also sad to see that most of the women that were raped did not want anything to do with testifying because they were scared that they would be deported. I feel that the country should worry more about getting the crime of the streets rather than sending victims back to their home countries.moreless
  • This was one of the best episodes they've ever had

    9.7
What a breath of fresh air to see great actors doing tv and doing it well rather than wasted guest appearances to draw ratings. Molina and Lansbury were magnetic in their performances and so was Stelio Savante. I saw this repeated on cable most recently and found Savante's performance as the brother to be chilling. The interrogation scene between him and Meloni was the best scene of the evening. The writing in this episode also went to a great extent in exploiting Muslim fundamentalists and how they fight for their cause even when it contradicts what their own religion teaches. There was actually a real life incident like this that I happened to be a juror on and I cannot say anything other than the writer's did an outstanding job depicting real life events. What a great episode!!!moreless
  • What an unusual episode.

    9.2
This was a shocking episode especially when Casey was attacked. It was not a very good episode because they didn't tell what happened. I wish they would conclude things in the same series instead of concluding it on Law and Order TBJ. But overall I think this episode was pretty good.
  • Rave review...need I say more?

    8.5
I thought the over-all premise of the episode was extremely well designed. The writers did a great job foreshadowing the ever so anticipated climax. Even the attack itself was portrayed with an adequate balance between reality and fiction. Furthermore, the bedside scene between Casey and Olivia displayed a vulnerable side of the ADA, as well as a small hint of character development within her. It was extremely heart wrenching, yet somehow comforting at the same time. Great episode. Great show.moreless
