  • Great show about child pornography

    7.6
This is a great show about how internet pornography can reach all over the world

No matter where you are or what you are doing

Olivia only appears briefly in the beginning

Elliott putting an end to the US Attorney's abuse of power and turfwars saying "Enough is enough!"

Pam Grier, though I didn't like her character when she first appeared, was a lot more nicer in this show and more willing to help out.

Loved it when Elliott and the temporarily partner got the perp and celebrated with drinks in the end!moreless
  • Law and Order Special Victims Unit!

    9.5
After the body of Meredith McGraph is found locked in the trunk of her car, Detective Stabler goes to her home to notify her husband. Upon his arrival, he finds that her husband was murdered and the hard drive of her computer stolen. After digging into the background of Meredith, they find that she was on a mission to rid the internet of child porn. Some of the files on her hard drive lead Stabler to a missing girl name Mia Van Wagner, whose picture they found her computer. Their search for Mia leads Detective Stabler to Prague were they are able to find Mia and the man, Eric Tasig, who was exploiting her for profit. The raid of Tasig's business leads them back to NYC where there are more people who buy and trade child pornography. This is one of the best episodes of Law and Order Special Victims Unit that I have seen. And the reason that I like it so much is that it is very storyline driven. Now I love an episode that shows you the personal side of the Detectives, don't get me wrong. But this was just a great episode because of how much it focused on the crime and the victims, rather than the lives of the Detectives of the unit. It was also interesting to see that Detective Stabler was sent to another country in order to find the missing girl.moreless
  • Intense

    9.1
This is a Stabler episode and one of its best. The subject matter of Child Abuse is a difficult one to tackle but the show makes a good go at showing the issues involved for law enforcement and handles the stark truth well. The best part of the episode is Stablers performance. He takes the viewer on his own emotional ride as he unravels the mystery of the original dead victims. The setting in Prague takes this episode above, above average as he and a Czech escort explore the seedy underworld at one of Europes favourite holiday destinations and a well known sex resort.

The ending brings the rise in intensty to its heights level as the little girl he tracks from the internet, eventually believes he is a cop and lets him in. As he climbs the starirs step by step, I couldnt help getting a real palpable sense of anticipation which just bursts when he puts a gun to the fathers head. A great ending makes this show get the mark I gave it.

More rising intensity to the story like in this one please.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Goof: In the episode you can clearly see the German license plate "W5 68473". While the design of the plate is correct, the order of numbers and letters is wrong. There should be a logo of the place the car is registered after the first letter, and behind it at least one more letter. Only at the very end are there supposed to be numbers.

    • Goof: Assistant US Attorney Claudia Williams could not have obtained Erich Tassig's actual passport application from the INS. All American passports and their respective applications are issued by the State Department, and only that department has custody of those applications.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Sam Bishop: Oh, is this your partner?
      Elliot Stabler: Yeah.
Sam Bishop: She's hot. She date?
Elliot Stabler: A lot of guys.

    • (In a bar.)
Sam Bishop: Another round. I'm buyin'.
Elliot Stabler: No I, gotta get home. I gotta make sure my kids remember what I look like.
Sam Bishop: Oh yeah? How many do ya got?
      Elliot Stabler: Four.
Sam Bishop: (whistles) They why you do this job?
Elliot Stabler: They're part of it.

    • Don Cragen: Bishop, thinking about a department transfer?
Bishop: No thanks. I like my victims dead.

    • Nicholas Taylor: (to Stabler) Society says I'm wrong, but not long ago society said interracial marriage was wrong. Go ahead. Arrest us. We're not going away. We're not gonna play by your rules, and nothing you can do will ever change that.
