I have missed a few episodes of SVU this season, but I am definitely glad I tuned in for this one. Marcia Gay Harden who was good on Damages during Season 2, came onto another legal drama and had an out of this park performance as a woman possibly lying about her rape situation.

Law and Order: SVU very well may be in its final season, but it is definitely still churning about some good and innovative episodes and using big names well, not just using them for stuntcasting. A powerful episode here that I suggest everyone checks out for sure.moreless
  • I just keep watching to see how bad it's gonna get...

    6.0
Were they serious with the kid pointing a water pistol at Olivia while she was asleep on the couch with the dramatic music and extreme close up? Did anyone doubt for a second that it was the random kid she now has in her apartment who seems to be just fine with the fact that his mother abandoned him and he's living with some woman he just met a week ago. Seeing the kid for 2minutes in the opener is all they're gonna cover? She's just handling this all so well that it doesn't deserve any conversation? Wouldn't social services be checking in on this? Shouldn't Elliot ask about it? Did she go home once during the entire investigation? Oh and Marcia Gay Harden showed up, let's injure Elliot again just for continuity/irony's sake even though it was ridiculous. Go back to the good old days of seriously deranged and twisty cases at the forefront! Not stunt casting and awkward family creations.moreless
  • An excellentg episode and great to see Marcia Gay Harden reprise her role as FBI Agent Dana Lewis.

    10
After last week's debacle, this episode was a breath of fresh air. It was terrific to see Agent Dana Lewis again, so excellengtly played by Marcia Gay Harden. This time round, while working undercover, she reports a rape to Benson and Stabler and asks them to test the rape kit she has in her possession. The catch is, the rape kit is hers. She was attacked in her own apartment and held captive by a masked man who used a paralysing agent.

The day after her ordeal, she is back on the job, even though she is clearly very shaken. When she comes face to face with her rapist, it takes a great deal of effort by Benson and Stabler to stop her from shooting him. Eventually, the link is made between the rapist and an old case and Dana has the satisfaction of seeing two criminals safely behind bars for ever.

The court room scene during which Marcia's character gave evidence about her rape was superb. Marcia's performance showed the difference between someone who can actually act and someone who is just hired to play a character, as so many guest stars are. Terrific episode!moreless
  • Wow one of my favorites!!! We got to see some old characters and the episode takes you on the edge of your seat!!

    10
The beginning of the episode is also exciting.

Someone pointing a gun at Liv while she is sleeping.

    Did she survive??

    You just have to see!

yeah Kelvin is still with Liv,thats so cute!!

I wonder how she gonna do that in the future when she has to work late and all.

The case is about a FBI agent who's working undercover with a terrorist group and then gets raped.

The agent(whó's and old friend of elliot en olivia) goes to Liv and asks her to run her rapetest for DNA.

But that's doesn't bring up any suspect and the FBI agent goes missing.Liv and Elliot witness the disapearence while they investigate the agents undercover operation.

They find here back on a murder crime scene thinking she's dead too.

    But she survived.

Then an other girl gets raped and killed. With the same M.O as the FBI agent rapist.

Liv and El find the guy and chase him.

But the FBI agent finds the guy first and shoots at him,de alledged rapist does not get hit but someone else does. One of your dectectives gets shot.Who? You have to see for yourself!!!

The brains after the plan to rape the FBI agent is an old enemy of the FBI agent and a old acquaintance of the SVU detectives.

    So fare my episode review.moreless
  • Finally a courtroom scene!!

    10
One thing i blamed svu about in the last few episodes was the lack of courtroom scenes!! Now we had one and it was actually good. Maybe not as good as when casey was still on the show but maybe in the next episodes it'll become that way (I hope so). Nonetheless I really loved the episode. The acting was great, it kept me interested 'till the end!!! Frankly, I think season 12 will be one of the best seasons of SVU since it first aired!! I'm not saying that the other seasons are bad, I find them awesome but what I mean is the evolution of the show, the characters, the plot in general! I just love to be able to see the growth of that show. I think it is way underated and more people should be watching because they're missing out on something!!moreless

  • QUOTES (4)

    • (Calvin points a water gun at a sleeping Olivia who wakes up with a start)
Olivia: Calvin, don't ever pull a gun on a cop or anyone else for that matter!
Calvin: Chillax, I thought it would be funny.
Olivia: Well it's not. (takes water gun and squirts him) But this is!
Calvin: (laughing) Okay, okay I give!

    • Stabler: (as he and Benson approach a suspect) Come on, pal, don't run. My knees are killing me!

    • Lewis: Really? You're playing the fragile victim card?
Stabler: Fragile? Hardly. Every time I see you, I get hurt. I've been shot in court and blown up.
Lewis: You had me at blown up.

    • Benson: Same M.O. as Dana, he hit again.
Finn: New victim's name is Jennifer Briggs, 27.
Munch: She was attacked in her Soho apartment earlier this morning.
Stabler: Were they connected? Is she FBI?
Finn: Mmm, much more dangerous, accountant.
