A very Olivia-heavy episode here, and it just felt a little out of whack to see her out there with Elliot.

The storyline started off with a lot of promise (a perp who had molested 100 or so boys from little league baseball) but it got way too convoluted, which is more often than not the problem with this show, and the Law and Order series in general. Instead of just seeing the prosecution of one individual they have to have a plethora of twists and turns to irritate and confuse the viewer.

A clever storyline that was just executed in a poor way.moreless
  • wow good episode!!!!!

    10
wow this was a very well written episode

it had all good twist and turns. the episode begin with det. benson getting a folder about a missing boy who whent missing in the 80's

and the investigation lead them to a suspect who is in deathrow. But the man claims he didn't kil en raped this little boy saying the boy was not his type.

Than they go to an other victim of the perp in deathrow and they find out that he was a victim as well a perp. And than they make you think he cumitted suicide but he was murdered.

the man(avery) they think murdered the guy was a victim of the guy.

but he didn't do it ore....???

I thought the guy was so sweet (avery) protecting his son like that and the missing little boy.

but i dont get the part about stalking olivia.

and at the end we get a little e/o moment when olivia ask elliot about thinking about youre kids before having them. I thuoght that moment between them together was so sweet. when elliot gives olivia a compliment and how olivia reacted about it. so sweet!!!!moreless
  • Um, creepy much?

    9.0
Someone sends a flier of a missing kid and a map revealing his location to Olivia. She and Cragen (Elliot is called away to a family emergency) discover the kid was actually killed in 1980, but their main suspect says he didn't do it. By the time they find the real killer, it may be too late for him.

This episode was by far one of the creepiest SVU installments. When their first suspect, a convicted child molester and murderer, is confronted with all of the "trophies" he kept from kids he molested (baseball caps from little league teams), he can remember the name of every boy he molested and where he was from. In one scene he just keeps naming boy after boy--very disturbing. Enjoy! :)moreless
  • Law and Order Special Victims Unit!

    9.0
After receiving an unmarked envelope containing information on a missing boy, Detective Olivia Benson along with Captain Cragen and M.E. Warner are able to confirm that a young boy was in fact buried beneath a baseball field. Further tests prove that the remains belonged to Jeffery Ronsen, who has been missing since 1980. The one suspect that they had in this case is currently on death row awaiting execution. After first the Detectives think that this is a ploy by the suspect Locus Biggs, to prolong his life. What they find is that he in fact killed Jeffery, and abused several other boys in which he kept their baseball hats as a trophy. This is a good episode. Elliot Stabler wasn't in this episode very much, he left at the beginning of the episode to attend to a family emergency, in which his son Dickie was in the hospital. You get to see Olivia Benson question herself yet again. She makes a comment to Stabler about how he is lucky that he knows where his kids genes come from, but she doesn't because her father was her mother's rapist.moreless
  • Another Benson centered episode!

    8.5
As the episode opens, Benson is sent a map disclosing the whereabouts of a body in a cold case. Stabler is called away on a family emergency, so the episode revolves around Detective Benson, Munch, and Captain Cragen. All fingers for this latest discovered murder point to Lucas, a pedophile and serial killer on death row who as preyed upon countless young baseball players. A storage building reveals Lucas's store of numerous trophy baseball caps from his killings, and though he admits to all of the murders, he repeatedly denies the killing of the young boy being investigated. A second death occurs of a young man named Deacon whom the dectives discover was sexually molested by Lucas as well. Though the death is originally thought to be suicide, evidence points to murder. Lucas, on death row, helps lead the detectives to the plausible murderer. When they question him, he admits to the killing, but the facts don't fit the case. A home security camera reveals the true motive and the murderer. This is another great episode with plenty of plot twists and turns. It also addresses another hushed topic - pedophilia and its long-term effects on his victims. Overall, another really good episode.moreless

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • Goof: When Munch and Benson go into Avery's office and look at the back of the door, it's apparent that the pictures are taped/glued to the newspapers.and that Benson is not really in the newspapers.

    • Goof: When they are at the funeral of the boy and capturing signatures, They cut to the computer screen so Munch can verify who Robert Hooper is. Munch closes what appears to be the Outline and Numbering window in Microsoft Word. There is no reason for this window to be open, a search window would have fit much better.

    • Goof: It is said that Biggs played in the Independent League. The Independent League had not been created in the 1980s.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • (Searching through Brinn's mail)
Olivia Benson: Some addressed here, some addressed to the other house.
      John Munch: Love letters?
      Olivia Benson: Hate mail.

    • Olivia Benson: Before you and Kathy had kids, did you ever wonder how they were going to turn out?
Elliot Stabler: All the time, still do.
Olivia Benson: At least you know what you're passing on... half my genes are drunk, and the other half are violent and cruel.
Elliot Stabler: And look how great you turned out... It's not all about the genes, Liv, all you can do is love your kids.
