Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 14 Episode 14

Agent Dana Lewis had now been in a total of 4 SVU episodes. And in Penetration, she portrayed her character so honestly. They showed her as a total FBI bada** on her motorcycle as well as a traumatized but strong victim in one of the most raw and best performed scenes while giving testimony on the stand about what had happened to her. Then this episode comes along, and ruins her from being known as that dedicated, hardcore detective to a woman who snapped about a lost love? And everything she has done since before we even met her is supposed to be in repentance of this crime? Come on! Why would you build up a great guest character just to bring her down like this? It's a waste, in my opinion. There were a thousand better ways they could have gone with this one. Ways that would have been more true to this memorable character. And I truly wish they had.

Um, wasn't Dana married to a very supportive husband and had a couple of kids in an earlier season? Pretty sure we find that out in the ep where she got raped.
