  • Is SVU finally returning to normal?

For the first time in a while I felt like I was watching the SVU that made me a fan of the series in the first place.

The episode deals with a man who witnesses a crime. and is faced with the repercussions of being a "snitch." Further problems arise when he turns out to be a polygamist with three wives.

The plotline was really entertaining, with the classic last-minute twists that make the show worthwhile. A lot of strong acting and outcomes of a controversial issue.

Hopefully SVU will keep up the good work and have later episodes in the mold of this one.moreless

  • Glad that SVU is going back to basics!

I don't know about you all but I am sick and tired of SVU going in the so-called soap opera direction. As it has been for quite awhile. But glad that it is going back to basics which I love the most. As Elliott, back from his injury a few weeks ago really was kicking butt. As he wanted to kill the Method guy. But Olivia was trying to calm him down. And that she does it with perfection. Steven Weber back as he is a prosecution's worst nightmare. That you forget he is an actor and not a lawyer. Hope they keep on having him back. As he is awesome. Glad the show is back to basics!moreless

So in the episode Snitch nothing life altering happened. dont get me wrong it wasnt a bad episode. dani wasnt there. hate her. but either way. nothing bad OR good happened. it was basically a neutral episode. the plot line was good. interesting. multiple wives.. i loved how elliot and olivia were both against it. "well why cant women have 3 husbands?" and then the wife is like "in some countries they do." i dont know why she talked back. actually she turns out to be the murderer, so shows how much she knows. she killed her husbands other wife after trying to make the point that families with multiple wives are better than with one. what.moreless

  • A good old-fashioned episode.

    "Superb"
I was very happy with this episode. It seemed more like the old SVU. The only thing missing is that Munch doesn't have a large role as he once did. But I was just happy to see that he was there at all.

There were a few revealing twists that weren't totally shocking, but were surprising enough to keep things interesting. The first shock: The dead girl's own aunt had performed her circumsicision. The woman was cold and callous and it was obvious, from the way that she'd been caught forcing another girl to have the procedure, that she'd probably forced several others as well.

Second shock: The kind lawyer was one of the man's wives. I'd known before the episode began that the man was a polygamist, so that didn't surprise me at all. But to see an American woman playing one of three wives totally surprised me.

Third shock: The American wife was the killer. I hadn't expected that. I'd thought that the street thug, portrayed by rapper Method Man, was the killer of the fifteen year old girl. It was a nice surprise, honestly, that the case wasn't as straightforward as I'd been thinking it was.

I didn't like the African man's proclamation at the end that he was no longer afraid. It really didn't make sense, considering all he's said about the street thug in the beginning. The same reasons he was afraid still existed at the end. After the melodramatic episode last week, when Kathy gave birth to the baby, I would have liked some type of update on her. It was as if the birth and the drama around it had never happened. SVU has gotten like this more and more. The episodes don't quite seem, overall, totally cohesive.

Overall, it was a very good episode. I'd like more Munch! But you can't blame the man for wanting to keep a low profile. :)moreless

I have seen a recent decrease in the amount of praise in most recent episodes of the SVU series which surprises me. But if fans don't like how this episode turned out, I'm just disappointed.

This episode reminds me some of the older episodes with a few good twists in it that really remind of all the past episodes. This episode feature a dead teenage girl who may have been murdered in order to intimidate a witness to a murder. Very good and this may be the best episode out of the whole season so far. If things keep getting better from here, the season should be able to end on a good note.moreless
