Episode Summary

EDIT

The discovery of the bodies of two young gay men who were both meth addicts as well as victims of a new strain of AIDS that can kill its victims in less than a year leads to an investigation. Tutuola learns that his son Ken is gay, and has difficulty accepting it, even though he and Benson end up going to Ken for help with infiltrating an anti-meth group. The group's leader, Gabriel, soon becomes their top suspect when the squad realizes that the two men died because they passed the disease on to someone else.

When several gay men are found murdered with the word "KILLER" written on the crime scene, the Detectives of the Special Victims Unit start their investigation to see if the victims are related. They find that they were involved with one another at one time. With the help of M.E. Warner, they find that both victims had the new "killer" strain of HIV, which was why they were murdered. They trace the deaths back to an organization that is designed to help gay men. This was a good episode. I liked that you got to see Fin's son, Ken again. And you could tell that they relationship was a bit closer than it was when you saw him on the episode "Haunted." Every time you see Ken you see that there is progress in their relationship.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • Goof: At the first murder scene, the CSI officers are shown photographing the storefront with flash photography. Since it is dark outside, the resulting photographs will consist of a reflection of the light from the flash rather than the crime scene inside the store display.

    • Nitpick: Carolyn Maddox talks hypothetically about a "dirty bomb" turning Manhattan into a "nuclear wasteland." Dirty bombs contain radioactive material but they are much smaller than nuclear warheads and they have much lower levels of radioactive fallout. These types of bombs are dangerous, but they are not powerful enough to create a nuclear wasteland.

    • Fin's son Ken is a computer science major.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Fin Tutuola: Ten to one he gets off.
Olivia Benson: I wouldn't take those odds on a double homicide.
Fin Tutuola: You didn't see Gabriel on the stand. When he cried, the jury believed him.
      (Casey Novak walks in.)
Casey Novak: No they didn't. Guilty. All counts.

    • (Undercover, approaching Cragen with new information while in character.)
Olivia Benson: Hey sweetheart ... you lonely tonight? (under her breath) Twelve o'clock, there's a skinny kid, black shirt, blue jeans, hustling a guy in a gray sweater. He could be MKS.

    • Fin Tutuola: They call you killer?
      Henry Finello: No. King Henry.
      Fin Tutuola: King of what?
Olivia Benson: Garden City, Long Island?

    • Don Cragen: Early bird catches the perp.
