An Army recruitment center is bombed. An unconscious woman and a dead baby are found in the wreckage.
  • One of my favorite episode of the season.

I really enjoyed it. Cutter was his usual renegade self. Love it when Jack told him that if a new D.A got elected he would not be able to pull the same crap on him that he does on Jack. I really the fact that I could not tell who the real killer was in this episode. I also liked that S. Epatha was seen throughtout most of the episode. Anderson and Sisto really work well together. Loved the bickering between the two in this episode. Law & Order has really up it's game this year. I am praying for a new season next year.moreless
  • Hope Sam Waterston stays onboard.

    9.0
    "Superb"
Fun episode which is made better by the fact that for the first time in a while they didn't have the police screwing up and the evidence lost on a technicallity- the civilian vigilante angle made the episode. Spoiler: What really makes this episode is the fact that when its all over- it is difficult to know who the culprit was- we were presented with two equally viable theories of the crime. It was unnerving too, to be left with uncertainty about Jack's prescence in the coming season, however, I hope its nothing more than a cliffhanger. I mean, why create one of the best seasons in a while and then change the formula? Afterall, if anyone deserves to be there when they break the Gunsmoke record, it should be Waterston. Just glad they didn't ruin his character by having him put a potentially innocent suspect in jail just to salvage his campaign.moreless
  • A baby dies in an army recruit center.

    7.0
    "Good"
I can see the headline now: No Justice for Baby Mikey.

"Crimebusters" attempts to present an austere case, but things fall flat due to a lack of unappealing guest stars, and a difficult to follow plotline. The episode failed out produce a true hero and villain and that dampered on the usually dramatic courtroom scenes. More importantly the ongoing saga between Jack McCoy and Governor Shalvoy took over and replaced the crime at hand in importance.

The writer was going for a commentary on war, and to make a point about how intense politics in a DA office can be, but that theme was lost in the translation from script to television and the viewer is left feeling bored.moreless

Mr. Wilson: Well, you know what they say about being known by the company you keepÂ… Connie Rubirosa: You're the one with a baby-killer as a client. Live long and prosper, Mr. Wilson.

    • Jack McCoy: And Mike, if Shalvoy's hack wins this election, don't for a second imagine you'll get away with pulling half the crap you pull with me.

    • Vicki Sandusky: (About Carly.) Sorry to be a buzzkill, but I started thinking you arrested the wrong person, so I really wanted to talk to her, and do some profiling. Connie Rubirosa: Profiling? You work in a hair salon. Vicki Sandusky: You can ask my friends. I have this, like, amazing intuition about people.

    • Kevin Bernard: Derek! Hold up. Derek Sherman: Better be quick, guys. I've got deliveries to make. Kevin Bernard: Well, we gotta make a delivery too. You, to central booking.

    • Kevin Bernard: Vigilante crime solving? That doesn't smell right to me. Cyrus Lupo: Well, they're gonna help us whether we want it or not. We may as well keep them close.

    • Cyrus Lupo: The comments section on the coverage of the bombing in today's paper, you check what readers have posted, sometimes you find somebody who knows something and wants to talk. Kevin Bernard: And sometimes you just find somebody who likes to talk.
