AIRED:
A plastic surgeon's greed and narcissism contribute to his failure to care for a patient and this ultimately results in her death. • TRIVIA (1)

      • Goof: When she's questioning Elizabeth Olivet, the defense attorney refers to Nora Hackett as Nora King. Nora Hackett was her legal name and she was referred to as such during the rest of the proceeding. Corrine King was the pseudonym she used in her writing. The defense attorney seems to have accidentally juxtaposed the names.

    • QUOTES (8)

      • (The defendant meets McCoy as he leaves his office.)
Dr. Lawrence: I can't believe this is happening to me. I can't go to jail. My patients love me, they wait six months for an appointment! Don't you get it?! I change people's lives, they just can't go to some other doctor! This is a nightmare!
Jack McCoy: Of your own making!

      • Dr. Lawrence: You have some lines around your eyes.
Serena Southerlyn: Really? I thought that was just life experience.

      • Serena Southerlyn (about Dr. Lawrence): He had a partnership with a doctor at one time.
Arthur Branch: Good. If you're looking for dirt, an ex-partner is even better than an ex-wife.

      • Dr. Lawrence: Detectives! In for a consultation?
Joe Fontana: Does it look like we need makeovers, Doctor?

      • Dr. Lawrence: I could do more for her than any psychologist or psychiatrist practicing talk therapy.
Jack McCoy: By making her prettier?
Dr. Lawrence: Which made her happier.
Jack McCoy: Did it? Then why was she taking anti-depressants?

      • Arthur Branch: Cosmetic surgery. It's become an epidemic in this country. Whatever happened to aging gracefully?
Serena Southerlyn: Only a man could say that without any trace of irony. Men age gracefully, Arthur. Women just age.

      • Joe Fontana: (About liposuction.) Give me the South Beach Diet any day.

      • Joe Fontana: (To a hotel employee.) If you don't cooperate, we're gonna turn this whole hotel into a crime scene, and that's gonna be really bad for business.
