Let's discuss the episode "Doped" in this thread. BTW, sorry for my lateness in adding this episode to the guide. I've been distracted this week.

Ok tivo didn't even have the title and episode info for this one even they were surprised by two back to back episodes. Good episode liked how the truth about cops was shown they make their assumptions and away they go but by luck the truth comes out. Nice case and a jab at the blocks on healthcare reform real shocking the guy trying to kill himself with a pen. Man that husband had a hell of a hard time first his wife and then his mother damn.

I love Law and Order. I love the storylines, the plot twists and how sometimes the bad guys get away with it. I just love the show and have for years. But I have to vent here. I am getting sick and tired of Dick Wolf spewing his liberal bias crap into the show. This was the most blatant atrocity on this show, where Jack McCoy states thta pharmaceutical companies are "the reason we can't get a healthcare reform bill passed". Pure and unadulterated BS. The American people have spoken very loudly against this and the legislators have ignored their consituents.

Wolf doesn't even try to mask it anymore. This is what we get when we let the inmates run the asylum. God help us if the Senate fails to do its job the way the House did this weekend. And I seriously would hate to be one of the people in the House who passed this. They can kiss their seat goodbye.

Please be polite and stay on topic. This is not a thread for complaining about politics. It is a thread for discussing a specific episode of Law & Order.

"Doped" and the preceding "Boy Gone Astray" mark a return to the inspiration and intrigue that have made Law and Order a must-see for me for so many years. The previous 6 episodes this season have been rather flaccid and I was losing my interest in the series until these two episodes. Although "Doped" is a little shameless in its exploitation of the recent tragedy of the soccer-type mother driving under the influence and causing the multi-casualty crash that killed kids and herself, the twist involving a third party was inspired and interesting. I especially liked how the plot initially suggested that a big bad corporation was involved, but turned out to be a greedy individual who caused the tragedy. This is the first "Law and Order" episode in a long while that I have enjoyed watching a 2nd time.

Sorry, but Sandman Jill is on topic. If the writers are in their liberty of expressing their opinion, so are we. It was the writers that made politics part of the topic. Great episode, by the way.
