OK, I know Jack Mc oy is DA in season 20 , I guess he won in November. I just wanna know what happened in election, anyway Jack is a liberal guy and was in New york so with the obama bandwagon he was likely to win anyway unless he upset any particularlky strong groups in the city

The election was not the general, but the Democratic Primary, which was in September, which was when the end of the last show of Season 19 was situated. Pay attention to the dates on the scene changes.

I read somewhere that Law and Order may get the axe, they need more money to pay Leno lol

TV Series Finale ran an article a few weeks ago that wasn't based on anything except a few other shows got extended. Law & Order actually got picked up for 4 more shows than they planned for, and its doing respectable in the Friday night 7 pm death slot it's got stuck with. What NBC should do is admit the Leno failure, move Law & Order back to Wednesdays and have a crime night with SVU and L&O. Or, better yet, stick it at 9 pm on Thursdays following the office and such.

    Except for one thing:

Leno is making money for NBC, which is why NBC made the move. The real problem is the cost of scripted dramas skyrocketed in recent years, and except for events, audiences have rapidly deteriorated in recent years. I'm one for instance who you'll find more often than not watching ESPN far more than the networks, and I suspect you'll find a lot of men doing that. Ad buyers have likely seen this, and that had a lot to do with NBC putting Leno at 10:00 PM ET/PT, which also prevented Leno from moving to ABC, which was all but officially on record as saying they would have canceled "Nightline" and put Leno at 11:35 PM ET/PT (and moved Kimmel to 12:37 AM ET/PT) had he become available.

The original "L & O" could wind up getting the full 22-episode order (two more episodes beyond the additional four already ordered), and is looking like it will be back for a 21st season mainly because NBC has few shows going for it.

L&O is not the same it used to be. And I'm starting to think I won't miss it. Sad but true.

Lindsey Vonn's (gold medal in women's downhill & a bronze medal in super-G) favorite show is L&O. Bob Costas told Lindsey the good news during an interview Saturday night after the Olympics - she's been cast as a jury foreman in an upcoming episode. She said she'd have settled for playing a corpse just to be on the show.

First episode was solid considering it aired directly opposite "24" on FOX.

Second episode suggests that many people like me who normally watch both "24" and "L & O" watched both "L & O" episodes and saw "24" later on on Hulu or OnDemand and NOT live.

Nothing wrong with those ratings, though I would have preferred to stay on friday, where it was pulling similar numbers. Proves it has a loyal viewership.

The problem is, NBC knows whatever they put on Mondays at 10:00 is going to be hurt by people staying with ABC following "Dancing With The Stars" for "Castle" (which has been doing big numbers following DWTS on ABC). That is what is hurting "L & O" right now.

Yes, I was very sad to see Law and Order cancelled. I still watch Criminal Intent and SVU, however, there is nothing like the original.
