Going into this episode, I wasn't expecting such great writing and passionate symbolism, such as McCoy's closing argument in the grand jury trial as well as the Judge's speech after overturning the Jury. Then there's Greene's interrogation of the murder suspect. Extraordinary acting on all counts. I have been watching law and order nonstop (going backwards from season 14) and this is the best episode I've seen yet. It's episodes like this that make me frown upon NBC execs for terminating the show. Exceptional writing that any law and order fan would expect from the halfway mark of the show's journey.
