It is me or could it be that after so many episodes/seasons its inevitable that things will go flat. Usually, plots can be believeable even if they are stretched to ridiculous lengths. In this episode, the circumstances just seem to be too far fetched and twisted for the benefit of the plot. I would have believed it more if killer would have tried to reason a bit more. same can be said with the victim. That said, with the constricting 50min length its difficult to do. Maybe there should be more 2parter in these types of shows?

As it is, the material used in this one was purely average and if you missed it first time round, dont bother with a repeat!moreless

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Goof: As the DAs interviewed the widow at her home after her testimony, and she was animated in her talking, to the right down a hall an almost closed door was swaying. The camera turned away, and when it returned to her again the door in the background was open.

    • Nitpick: At the beginning of the episode, the two workers refer to the 2003 World Series, saying that the Florida Marlins had already won. This would place the date of the episode no earlier than late October to early November, but October 10 is one of the on-air dates given in the episode.

  • QUOTES (3)

    • Vanessa Galiano: You said you were aware that surrogates change their minds about giving away their babies. Did you and your husband have a Plan B? You know, just in case Maria planned on a break?
Helene Zachary: I guess we would just find another one.
      Vanessa Galiano: Another what?
      Helene Zachary: Womb.
Vanessa Galiano: Like a pizza oven?
Helene Zachary: A pizza oven is a lot cheaper. This girl, we were paying her $3000.00 a month, that's on top of her salary from the company.
Vanessa Galiano: Some people would say what you're getting is priceless.
Helene Zachary: What I'm paying for is what I don't get.
      Vanessa Galiano: And that is?
Helene Zachary: Lower back pains, morning sickness and stretch marks.
Vanessa Galiano: Excuse me, I'm a little confused. Are you saying you are physically able to have children?
Helene Zachary: I never said I couldn't have a baby.
Vanessa Galiano: Let me get this straight -- your husband's dead and my client is on trial for his life because you wanted to maintain your figure?

    • Vanessa Galiano: Murder Two, come on, Jack -- cheating wife, murdered lover, it's as old as the Old Testament.
Jack McCoy: Is there a legal argument in there some place?
Vanessa Galiano: Are you really that thick or are your boxers just tied in a knot because of the citizenship thing?
Jack McCoy: You know me better than that.
Vanessa Galiano: Can you spell racism? Any other defendant would have been offered Man Two. Extreme emotional disturbance and you would have called it a day.

    • Elizabeth Rodgers: The white powder on your guy's jacket was bakery flour.
Lennie Briscoe: Thank you, Krispy Kreme.
Elizabeth Rodgers: The thing is I analyzed his stomach content, steak, green beans and potatoes.
Lennie Briscoe: My kind of guy.
      Ed Green: But no flour?
      Elizabeth Rodgers: No flour.
Lennie Briscoe: I think that's what they call a clue, Watson.
Dr. Elizabeth Rodgers: That's what I get paid for.

  • NOTES (0)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Briscoe: I think that's what they call a clue, Watson.

Lennie is referring to Ed as "Watson" in a parody of detective Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick, Dr. Watson.
