    "Perfect"
For my money, this is the greatest episode of Law and Order. Everything in this episode works - from the writing and acting to the juxtaposition of a black man defending a white supremacist. Most notable is the performance of a victim shot by the defendant, who gives a spot-on example of how to testify on the stand: "I remember the voice of the first white man to tell me he didn't serve my kind. I remember the voice of the doctor who told me I had a healthy baby boy. And I sure as hell remember the voice of the man who took a shotgun and shot me in the back" (his reply when James Earl Jones' character questions his ability to recall his assailants' voice). The episode also wraps up very poignantly, ending on a note that serendipitously echoes the racist sentiment that led to the series of murders ("This used to be a nice neighborhood.") From beginning to end this episode is perfect. If you're a fan of the series I'm sure you already know what I'm talking about (and have noticed that in no way has what I've written here done the episode justice), and if you don't usually watch Law and Order, make the time to sit down for this one if you come across it on TNT (where it airs occassionally).moreless
  • A monument of of the 4th season!

    "Superb"
Without a doubt, this is one of the best episodes of the 4th season. Michael Moriarty did a wonderful portraying Ben Stone. To be honest, I was not a Stone-fan from the start. After watching this episode, all with a few others, I instantly realized that Ben Stone is one of the real stars of the early years. Anyways, this is a good episode and I recommend buying the 4th season on DVD.moreless
