Although the intro was promising an interesting view into a prison life, I can't help myself thinking that was a lost, or even squandered chance.
This plot and story could have been used in a far better way than that.
A convicted murderer and raper got killed during a prison disturbance, the detectives have to overcome an uncooperative gang bureau that pursues its own goals, and the dept. of corrections that tries to protect one of its own - as a matter of fact, it's a CO Bennett who is linked to the murdered prisoner - his motive being a vengeance for the rape of his fiancee who is also a CO and was raped while on-duty!! The DoC goes even to a passive resistance strictly following all regulations and thus blocking the work of arraignment judges. There certainly were interesting moments in the episode and even if this is a Law and Order average and won't be listed among the best, it is still worth watching.moreless
