      • Lucy Neven: He sounds crazier than ever. Ben Stone: He's shrewder than ever; he wants to sound crazy!

      • Jack Gafney: This guy has got toys in the attic.

      • Mike Logan: Thou shalt not steal, except when nobody gets hurt?

      • Ben Stone: They say if this goes to trial, you'll be able to testify. Helen Neven: Don't force yourself, honey. Lucy Neven: I'll testify, if I have to crawl into the courtroom.

      • Don Cragen: I hope her mail is more interesting than mine. Mike Logan: No contest, this should be postmarked 'Bellevue'. Phil Cerreta: We have three solid cuckoos in town, one in Atlanta, two in St. Louis, three in L.A., and one in Denver.

      • Ben Stone: You know as well as I do that they law ought to be changed. Juries are not psychiatrists. Paul Robinette: He never got the help he needed, Ben. And the jury followed the only law we've got. We're not gods. We're not even angels.

      • Mitchell Burkitt: I didn't do the lady. What do you think, I'm crazy? Mike Logan: Actually, you're about the sanest person we've met all week.

      • Adam Schiff: A jury knows 'crazy' and 'not crazy', Paul. They don't know 'legally crazy'.

      • Phil Cerreta: Now, how'd you get home? Jesse Unger: I walked. Phil Cerreta: Forty blocks in half an hour? You must be a marathon walker.

      • Ben Stone: Well, I'll tell you one voice that Jesse Unger is hearing: the voice telling him how not to get convicted.

      • Jack Gaffney: Ghost of John Hinckley, is that it? Shoots the President of the United States and gets off? John Hinckley was a mentally disturbed man who attempted to assassinate U.S. President Ronald Reagan in 1981 in an attempt to impress actress Jodie Foster. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity and remains institutionalized to this day.

      • Mike Logan: It's his John Lennon theory. Singer/songwriter and former Beatles guitarist John Lennon was shot to death in New York City on December 8, 1980. The killer, Mark David Chapman, was severely disturbed and had a bizarre obsession with Lennon. He's currently serving a life sentence. When VH1 did a program about The 100 Most Shocking Moments in Rock 'n' Roll, the murder of John Lennon ranked Number One.

      • This episode appears to be ripped from the headlines of the Rebecca Schaeffer case. Rebecca Schaeffer was the beautiful and talented co-star of My Sister Sam, but was tragically shot and killed by Robert Bardo, who had been stalking her. This episode may also have been ripped from the headlines of the Theresa Saldana assault (she was stabbed by an obsessed fan at home), or the stalking of soap actress Andrea Evans (who took a nine-year hiatus from acting because of threats received from a stalker).
