  • An episode where we are offered to watch a civil term legal battle between Adam Shiff and the governor of the state of New York. Worth watching, especially at the end.

The first, and as far as I am aware, the only episode that focuses on the person of the district attorney Adam Schiff. His early decision to seek the death penalty for a man who shot into a crowd to prevent his buyer from cashing a check is later influenced by the fact Shiff's wife suffered a severe stroke and is being on the life support. However we might think the D.A. shouldn't let his legal mind get overshadowed by his personal life, this is right the contrary here. The defendant clearly didn't deserve the first degree murder and the death penalty and it was only Shiff's wife balancing between life and death that made the D.A. realize that. Losing his wife's life he fought to save another one - the defendant's. A moving moment when we see Adam watch his wife die.
