  • Emotionally Disturbed Murder Suspect

    Possession of stolen credit cards. Homeless guy believe to have seen the whole murder and took credit card and sold it. Black emotionally disturbed man believed to have beat the woman to death. Man admits to having killed 2 women. A woman charged at jail gave Mr. Gallants name to her \"doctor\" to evaluate and his boss told him he could refer too many people to the hospital or he\'d loose his job. This is why the guy in jail (black emotionally disturbed) didnt get help. Arrested Dr. Andrews for manslaughter in 1st degree.
  • Old good Law And Order.

    This episode goes back to a good old format. And again we face the consequences that a quasi nonexistence of medical treatment in prisons can have.
    When a woman is found dead lying on a metro platform, it is difficult at first only to identify her. Her ex husband is truly shocked and expects the justice to be served. The suspect, suffering from a mental disease, is arrested and convicted from a manslaughter. But would this tragedy have happened, should he have got a proper treatment in Rikers island he had just left? The new company that runs the medical ward is trying to cut the costs by not sending the detainees to hospitals, by not getting them a right diagnosis as long as a mere medication keeps them calm. The CEO of the company is convicted of a criminally negligent homicide, but what about the other prisoners that get no treatment and are sent back when they do their time? One time or another their medication stops working and ....
