Episode Summary

In this lighter episode Jake, in charge of fire co. #2 and Oren, in charge of fire co. #1, crash into each other and start a fight in the street during a fire drill. After Lily chides them loudly in public for their behavior, she is elected unanimously the new fire marshall. A group of bandits witness this and prepare to start a fire as a diversion so they can rob the payroll being held in the bank. Lily and the Volunteer Fire Brigade save the day.moreless

  • During a fire drill, the Laramie firemen crash into each other sparking an argument. Lily steps in to break it up, and Dan suggests that they make her the new fire chief. Meanwhile, outlaws plan to rob the bank using a barn fire as a diversion.moreless

    This was a good mix of both serious and humor. You had the humor of Lily trying to run the fire department while wearing high heels and an evening gown. Then you had the serious of bank robbers setting a barn on fire as a diversion to take the money since the barn was on the other side of town from the bank. They first slug Johnny over the head and tie him up. Dan frees him, and while Johnny recovers Dan gets slugged over the head and taken hostage. During the standoff, Johnny does manage to shoot one of them in the shoulder. Then we get the woman's ingenuity from Lily of using the firehose to soak the crooks into letting Dan go. The closing scene was priceless with Lily chuckling at Dan being all wet, and Dan still trying to look dignified even though he is soaked to the bone. They talked about her spark, and they do have a great one between them.moreless
