After Dan and Johnny shut down his crooked casino, Ray Danby sends for a hired gun to come to Laramie. Todd Larson, the hired gun, has a sister named Muriel that works for Lily at the Birdcage. He is also an old friend of Dan's, and doesn't know he is the marshall. Once Todd finds out, he tries to return the money to Danby.     I don't know what episode the person that gave this a five was watching, but I thought it was pretty darn good. Guest star Andrew Duggan told a compelling story of a hired gun that has to choose between his sister and his best friend. Him knocking Dan out, and then posing as Dan in order to take the bullet for him at the end was a great plot twist. I also like the visual of Dan and Johnny both drawing their guns and shooting the bad guys at the same time. They are a heck of a team. Shows from today ought to go back and watch some of these old westerns, because they know how to tell great stories.moreless
