This was one of Peter Brown's best performances as Johnny McKay. John Russell takes most of the episode off, appearing only briefly in the opening and closing scenes. Johnny did his best Dan Troop impression when telling Zachariah that this was his town, and if their is a killer loose, that he'd be the one to take him. Then when Zachariah tried to leave, Johnny ordered him to get in the cell, and let him handle this, even threatening to drag him in there if he had to. He said it with such fire and passion that you really believed he'd do it. Also a tip of the hat to Chad Everett for making the guest spot as Cole. He did a great job playing a blind man. Peggie Castle was also fabulous in providing Lily's kind, friendly ear when Cole needed someone to talk to. The sandstorm was a great special effect for that time period.moreless
