This is a great show and all but why they did they cancel this show?. . I give this show 7 out of 7 stars. This is the best drama show to come out in 2004.

The ratings just weren't good enough. The show started with average ratings, but then they started to dip. A schedule change was made to try to boost ratings, but it didn't help at all. During the show's last regular airing in November, it was at a 4.5/7, which was well below the ratings of the other shows on NBC's schedule, both for Wednesday nights and in general. So the show was cancelled. NBC was nice enough to burn off the remaining episodes the next spring though.

I would have to agree with you. Not only was it a quality drama, but it had the right blend of humor too. The chemistry between Blair Underwood and Heather Locklear was electric. A damn shame....

Well of course, I loved the show too. I thought Heather and Blair did a great job and kept it really interesting. But I was just answering the question as to why it was cancelled...I guess not enough people agreed with us and liked the show like we did.

LAX, as well as many other shows - Traveler, Jericho, etc have been canceled because Networks still use Neilson Ratings are their way of keeping track of how many people watch in a night. Neilson is a very flawed and outdated technology. On any given night they are missing Millions of people who are watching TV. With Satelite and Digital cable we could come out with actual numbers of who is watching what - not just a guestimate with is basically what neilson is doing.
