    • TRIVIA (3)

      • In the opening of the episode, Sportacus assembles a set of "sports candy." He has carrots for Vitamin A, potatoes for Vitamin B, and tomatoes for Vitamin C. He calls it "the ABCs of healthy eating."

      • In this episode, the LazyTown kids work on creating a treehouse, based on a blueprint of Pixel's. This treehouse would not be completed until several episodes later, in "My Treehouse."

      • Some have wondered why anyone would save Robbie Rotten in this episode, given that he's the villain. However, one of the things the program teaches is that it's important to be kind to everyone, no matter who they are. In fact, Robbie being saved from the results of his backfiring schemes is a recurring theme on the program.

    • QUOTES (12)

      • Robbie: Everything is getting so tiring. I'm so tired of every... (He falls asleep.)

      • Stephanie: Ziggy, you saved Robbie!
        Sportacus: Well done!
Ziggy: Anyone can be a superhero, if you start small and take it step by step.

      • Robbie: I'm stuck!
        Pixel: Just climb down.
        Robbie: I can't.
        Stephanie: Then jump down.
        Robbie: I won't.
        Trixie: Then fall down.
        Robbie: I might.
        Sportacus: What's up?
        Stephanie: Robbie Rotten.

      • Robbie: (using a pointer to indicate items posted on an easel) The clubhouse is here. The tree is here. And the branch is here. If the branch falls, the clubhouse disappears. Ha ha ha ha. (evil laughter, sounds of grunting and hammering)
Ziggy: (following scene change) Sportacus was wrong. Not everyone can be a superhero. Oh, they don't want me. If I would try to help them, they would only yell at me. (gasps) But they're my friends. (triumphant music plays) Have no fear, Sportacandy is here! Ha ha!
Robbie: (trying to saw down tree branch) What is thing made of, wood? (The branch starts to tilt, with him on it.) Nice tree. Strong tree. Brave tree. Nice, nice tree.
Sportacus: (hearing his crystal beep) Someone's in trouble!

      • Ziggy: I should just go and join the circus, but I'm afraid of elephants. (moans) I could go live in a cave, but I'm afraid of the dark.

      • Stephanie: We'll sing songs and dance.
        Pixel: And play games.
Robbie: (mocking) Play games. (irritated) What part of being lazy don't you understand?
Pixel: Lazy? But we're not even done yet. Hey, guys, we're gonna need some more wood.

      • Robbie: What?! (pulls earplugs out of his ears) Who could sleep with all this noise? Stop it. Stop it! Stop it, stop it, stop it!
        Pixel: Huh?
Robbie: Why are you torturing me with this racket?
        Stephanie: We're making a clubhouse.

      • Stephanie: (performing "Step By Step") Make a plan, follow through, choose your colors, red or blue.
Trixie: Use your brain and your skills, then you'll start to build
Stephanie: Watch it grow before your eyes, your dreams will be alive.
Stephanie and Others: Step by step, it will come into / You know you're gonna make your dream come true / Step by step, it's all up to you / Then pretty soon you'll show the whole wide world
Stephanie: You made something new. Cut it once, but measure twice, it always pays to be precise...

      • Sportacus: Ziggy, I pronounce you superhero for a day.
Ziggy: I'm Sportacandy. Ya'ay! (hums "Charge!")

      • Sportacus: Ziggy, you seem upset. Do you want to talk about it?
Ziggy: It won't do any good. I'm no superhero. I'm a superzero.

      • Robbie: Why can't I sleep? I'm tired! I've counted sheep! (sound of sheep bleating) And I've got my blankie. I've been awake for three days! Three days! Three! Three! I should be asleep. Unless I am asleep. And this is all a dream. And if this is all dream, that means nothing can hurt me. (pinches himself) Owww!!!

      • Ziggy: Beep beep beep beep. I, Sportacandy, hear my crystal beeping.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Sportacus: Superhero practice begins right now.
        Ziggy: Yeah!

In "Hero for a Day," Ziggy dresses up as a superhero and calls himself Sportacandy. He asks Sportacus for help and Sportacus tells him that the key to getting good at something is to practice. He offers to give Ziggy superhero training. While they do their training, a music piece that sounds very similar to the main theme from the film Rocky plays. Rocky was a 1976 film featuring Sylvester Stallone as the character of Rocky Balboa, a man who underwent intense training to become a champion boxer. It was followed by several sequels, including the 2006 Rocky Balboa.
