Some have commented that Robbie should have been immediately recognizable as a fake in this episode. Mayor Meanswell is shorter, always smiling and has a little darker skin than the costume Robbie wears in this episode. Additionally, Robbie was frowning throughout. No one should of recognized Robbie Rotten's costume because the Mayor is shorter, always smiling, and has a little darker skin. Robbie Rotten looked big, had lighter skin, is taller, and was frowning. However, this is not the first time that the characters of LazyTown have failed to recognize Robbie as a fraud in an awful disguise.
