This is the type of show that I usually don't finish watching, but I'm glad I stuck with it. I give it a 7.5, which I think fits, considering how the storyline went.
Break down:
-IF you're into European history, you should give this show a chance. Most of the characters are based on actual people; the writer depicted the characters in a way where the history of those people are kept.
-The artwork was simple, but it still managed to capture the details of character. I could actually tell the difference between the French, the Russian, and the English. Not only that, the atmosphere enables the viewers to predict the way the characters lives will go
-The supernatural aspect of the show was confusing, but it worked for the show. I liked the whole idea of the soul going into another body was well thought out.
-The storyline was very slow, it only got better by the end. I'm a very impatient person, and the fact that I even finished watching it was a miracle of its own. -This is the kind of show where you have to take your time to soak in the information, BUT, if you did take your time and watched it patiently, you'd probably forget about it because it does not have the 'hooking' element. -Again, some parts of the storyline is confusing, and you have to watch it over again to actually understand.
All in all, I still enjoyed watching the show. It could have been better, but was still interesting- interesting is the only adjective I can use to describe it for some reason.
It's not for everyone though. It's not a show that the majority would completely love or completely hate.moreless
