      • The balloon-like attire worn while attached to Daddy's Medusa machine was inspired by a Channel 5 documentary seen by some of the Gents. In it, "Mr and Mrs Blow-Up" knelt in bubbles to watch television. It had nothing to do with sex or auto-erotic asphyxiation, however.

      • Because he couldn't be on location for the filming, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen's close-up scenes were filmed before a blue screen, and other shots of him in Royston Vasey were filmed with a double.
