I wait in eager anticipation for this episode every time Leave It To Beaver goes through rotation on TV Land. The interaction with the girls shows that he's growing up, but the highlight is at the beginning and end of the episode, when he is spending time alone in his room with his record player. It is so typical for that time in the 60s - he's about the same age as my older sister - but so different and out-of-character for "the Beav". I wonder who Larry Mondello would have danced with if he had stuck around at the Grant Ave. Grammar School? In a nutshell: 8th grade dance: $2.50. Corsage: $5.00. Seeing Beaver dance: Priceless.
