In this episode, Beaver buys his mom an "uncool" blouse replete with French insignias like eiffel towers. It's too ghastly to wear but June doesnt want to hurt Beaver's feelings by telling him the truth. Once again, the crux of a Leave It To Beaver episode revolves around people failing to tell the truth because they are afraid of what will happen. It's hillarious to see Beaver's fashion sense, which is incidentally, right on target for a youngster his age, and for once, it's a nice turn of the tables to see the adults caught in a lie, instead of the kids! All in all, a very enjoyable episode!moreless

    • Surely June could have "spilled" some ink on the blouse rendering it not wearable. Then she could have told Beaver that is why she didn't wear the blouse to his school Edit

    • Wally: *about the wallet he gave to June* Oh yeah, and there's a card in there in case you ever get mugged! June: Oh, uh, thank you Wally! Ward: *about the blouse* Look what it says here "ooh la la!" *he whispers "ooh la la" as June turns to go upstairs, with the blouse on* June: Wally, I did something terrible today. Wally: Didja bang up the car? June: No! I promised the Beaver I'd wear the blouse, but I wore another one to the Mother's Club tea Wally: So? Edit
