Desecrated was a great episode of Legend of the Seeker. I really enjoyed watching this episode which was a little side story from the major plot lines. I thought it was great how the writers explored the human behavior of nepitism and that being born into money and privilege does make a difference but not always in the best ways. It was exciting to see what Kahlan and Cara had to go through with each other while Richard sorted out the truth of what was going on. I look forward to watching the next episode of Legend of The Seeker!!!!moreless
  • Kara and Kahlen almost make out but then realize it's best to fight it out in hot sweaty tomb first, before they run of air.

I wonder sometimes if Zed is really a wizard of the first order or a wizard at all. I mean how many times have you really seen him duel another wizard? It always seems that if he is facing another magical dude, that dude always has the jump on him or the writers make it clear that that dude is just out of Zed's league. Now that I got that out of me, this is what happened.

It's Richards birthday and the gang throw him a surprise birthday party (I wish my friends did that for me) in a town not far from Brenedan. There to entertain the gang is a conjurer who manages to trap Kara and Kahlen in a tomb and then reads out the names of five guys and tells the seeker that if he wants to see his friends again, he must kill them by the next day.

Turns out, this guy lost his five sons in the war against Dahara while the guys whose names he read never fought because of a rigged system. One of the guy is the duke's son and other are sons of money loaded tax payers. Of course magical dude had no idea about this, but he's still out for blood.

While looking for the tomb, an assassin mummy is released whose job is to kill those five dudes and so now the seeker not only has to finds his girls, but also has to defend those five against the mummy. Somewhere in a fight, Zed gets mummified (convenient, isn't it?) so now the only option left is to find the conjurer which they do, but before they can get anything out of him, he kills himself. Fortunately the guy has a map indicating the location of the tomb and the girls are saved.

Kara then almost kills Zed so that the mummy bandages would leave him but they get on the duke of the town who they then trap in the very tomb the mummy assassin came from, and everybody lives happily ever after except for the duke's son who inherits his father's post.

I just can't put my finger on what exactly it is, but I just don't feel the excitement of watching the legend of the seeker anymore. Season one was all about killing Rahl before he killed Richard, or his friends but this season just seems to be a little lost. I mean yes they are on a quest to find the stone of tears but it almost seems like fun road trip then a mission to save the living from the dead, but still not a bad episode.moreless
