Fever was a superb and very entertaining episode of Legend of The Seeker. I really enjoyed watching this episode because there was a lot of action, drama, intrigue, character growth and plot development. It was suspensful watching as Darken Rahl manipulated Jennsen into helping him obtain the Boxes of Orden. Richard goes through a lot in order to succeed in his mission. Darken Rahl reveals an interesting truth about his connection to The Seeker. Richard and Kahlan are forced to consider a difficult decision once they have the Boxes of Orden. I look forward to watching the next episode of Legend of The Seeker!!!!!!!moreless
  • great set up for next week's season finale and a good episode in its own right (...spoilers...)

    9.5
The stakes continue to rise as the seeker and rahl hurtle down paths leading to the ultimate showdown (looking to be coming up the 'next full moon'!). In this ep, there are some delightfully cringe inducing scenes in which Rahl turns on the charm and manipulates Jensen, who temporarily loses her memory after being beaten by d'haran soldiers sent to find her and the boxes of ordin she's been hiding. Unable to use magic on pristinely ungifted Jensen, Rahl simply uses deception to twist her fragmented memories into gross distortions with Richard as villain and Rahl as hero. Luckily when she comes face to face with Richard again, he helps her to see the truth just in time to prevent her from taking the boxes back into the hands of rahl, so now richard has the boxes, and the book of shadows. it's not looking good for rahl at the moment, but judging by the trailer for next week this is one resilient villain who is going to find a way to turn things in his favour once again. The finale promises to be a nail biter in the best possible way.moreless
  • Great cliffhanger for the finale.

    9.5
Great cliffhanger for the finale. Rahl uses his manipulative skills to lure Jensen into believing he is the good guy, and Richard is the twisted, evil tyrant. Richard opposes him using his own, naturally benevolent nature, not trying to force Jensen but helping her remember the truth. The Boxes of Orden are once again in Richard's hands, Zedd and Kahlan are cured from the fever (a timely comment about the voracity and selfishness of human nature there, when the villagers attacked Zedd and almost killed him to save themselves). Now all that remains to be done is for Kahlan to confess Richard, and Darken Rahl's demise is close at hand!

Or is it? The trailer for the finale was quite a teaser, and it seems that Rahl, inventive and capable as he most certainly is, will once again find a way to turn things in his favour. I can't wait to go watch the finale! And the new knowledge that Rahl is in fact Richard's brother. How will Richard react to it? I'm guessing Rahl will be using the fact that they are relatives to appeal to Richard's compassionate side. And I must say, I enjoy seeing Rahl a lot! The actor (Craig Parker) is great in the part.moreless
