Identity was a really great episode of Legend of The Seeker. I enjoyed watching this episode as Richard, Kahlan and Zedd meet some nice people and things get crazy. Richard gets his body switched with a young man about to be married in an arranged marriage at the behest of Shota who had a vision of the Seekers death. I enjoyed the action, drama, intrigue and how things turned out. We learned about an old magic that Darken Rahl seeks in order to rule the world. Shota makes a surprising revelation about a prophecy relating to Richard and Kahlan. I look forward to watching the next episode!!!!!moreless

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Bronwyn: (About her arranged-marriage husband, Gryff) I would rather go fight the D'Harans than marry someone I have nothing in common with.
Richard: Funny, Gryff said the same thing about you.

    • Zedd: Shota! I feared it was you behind such diabolical magic.
Shota: Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander. The years have not been kind.
      Richard: Zedd, you know her?
Zedd: Once, when I was a foolish young wizard and ventured into that seductress' lair.
      Shota: Few have ever complained.
Zedd: Few have ever lived long enough to.

    • Kahlan: (thinking Gryff is Richard, as they've switched bodies) There's something I should have told you a long time ago. A Confessor's power is always present. We have to hold it in at all times.
      Gryff: Is that difficult?
Kahlan: (nods) Yes. Especially if I were with someone I love. Then the power couldn't be controlled. At the moment of ecstasy, it would be unleashed. My lover's soul will be taken, then he would become a slave. That's why we could never be together. You wouldn't be yourself anymore. And you couldn't fulfill your destiny. (wipes away tears) I'm sorry, Richard.

    • Zedd: Of all the magic in the world, none is more powerful than love.

  • NOTES (4)

    • Book Difference:
*In the books, Shota's prophecy only said that one near Richard would betray him and not the one in white near him as she says in this episode. In Shota's prophecy in the books, Richard's brother is the one who betrays him and not Kahlan.

    • Danielle Cormack (Shota) has previously worked with Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi in Hercules and Xena.
