Vengeance was a perfect episode of Legend of the Seeker. I really enjoyed watching this episode because there was a lot of character and plot development. It was interesting to see flash backs and learn more about the history of some of the major characters and how they made the world into what it is. The cinematography, acting, and directing reminded me of a Xena or Hercules episode, not surprisingly. I thought the end of this episode played out in a way that allows for some things to be wrapped up and others to be left for further exploration. I look forward to watching the next episode!!!!!!!moreless
  • We get a little history of lesson on how the lives of Darken Rahl, Zed, and Richard have always been intertwined with each other. They should have called this episode Family Matters instead.moreless

We find our merry quartet zigzagging through the forest on their mission of doom, this time none stop for 12 days (I love Kara's humor here) when Thadicus catches up with them. He tells Zed that he knows where Panis Rahl, father of Darken Rahl and Richard, and killer of their father is hiding. The brothers disappear on a mission of their own leaving Richard and his gang to continue on their own.

While the brothers are searching for Panis he manages to make his way to Richard and his group and convinces them that he knows the location of a scroll that will help Richard use the stone of tears. The brothers also realize that Panis has escaped and track him back to the group. Before Zed and his brother can kill Panis, Richard demands that Panis be heard, and we get a little history lesson on whose who. So here's the crazy part; when the brothers left, Zed just beamed them out of there but when they come back, they do so on horseback. Do you see something wrong here?

Anyway the whole group finds the secret location of the scroll but just as they are about to celebrate, the super hot sisters of the dark come out to do Darken Rahl's bidding; kill Panis, and steal the scroll. Unfortunately for the gang they manage to do both. In the end the brothers forgive Panis and he dies a happy man. We also learn a secret that Zed's been keeping; had it not been for his interference in the past, none of what came to pass in Season 1 would have happened.

I like this series but my only concern with it is that they have been looking for the stone of tears for ages now, yet that damn compass seems to be taking all over the place. The other thing is that for a group that is responsible for warding off death from taking over the living world they seem to be in really good spirits. Not that anything is wrong with that, I just think that given their mission the atmosphere of the series should be much darker and the pace a lot quicker.moreless
  • Best Episode Of Legend of the seeker ever? YES!!!

it was really something! episode was one of the greatest, and for it was sure the best episode ever of the series! we saw the backstory of rhal family which was very interesting and I imagined Panis Rahl a different man and I'm nicely surprised. And we saw different side of our beloved wizard Zed! we now see that all this, all that happened in the series, in last two seasons from the begining somehow was his fault! and it was very interesting to see him as a drama character! so yes it was the best epidoe EVER! I hope richard will return the scroll!moreless
