  • So disapointing

I waiting so long to see Sean Bean make it in the US. I have been a fan since Clarissa (1991!). Saw him make his way in small parts. Now he has his own show! Unfortunately I decided it was not for me when the showed the government agent half naked giving him a lap dance. Really? Other than showing a half naked woman giving a guy a lap dance, what purpose did this serve? It's really sad that such truly talented actors (really a fine cast) are so desperate for fame/fortune/work that they would tolerate this.moreless
  • Too much stupidity (spoilers)

First off, the star of this series is quite good, and the premise - an undercover agent who gets a little too into his aliases - is intriguing. And for the first 20 minutes or so I thought there was a good chance it would be worth watching, even if the lone-wolf-who's-so-brilliant-they-have-to-use-him trope is so overdone.

My first glimmer of a doubt was when his female handler dressed as a stripper so she could warn him of something. It was dumb and exploitative, but that bothered me less than two other things. First off, it was pointless, and had no effect on the story or the actions of the hero. More importantly, it's followed by a seen in which the stripper-cop runs after to help and gets caught and is down on her knees with a gun to her head. What was her plan? It really looked like her plan was to get caught and shot while on her knees, because that was the only scenario. Wouldn't it have made more sense to pull a gun on them? WTF?

By the final absurd scene in which the hero dares the mastermind to blow them all up (because yeah, that's a risk-free strategy), I was done with the show's cliches and poorly thought-out scenes. The story arc (is the cop really who he thinks he is?) is interesting, but the show lost my interest with a dumb, cliched pilot.moreless
