Ever since Andrea Parker left home at age 15 to become a ballerina, Andrea Parker was certain she would achieve success. After recurring roles on "ER" and "JAG", she needed just a few paragraphs of the pilot script for "The Pretender" to know that she wanted the roll of Miss Parker.

"It was kind of strange, " says Parker. "As soon as I saw the role of Miss Parker, I said, 'Hey, my name's all over this script.' I knew I had to make it mine. There was just too much synchronicity for it not to happen. After I was cast, I had to tap into a lot of anger and pain in playing her. We're both alike in that we go after what we want, but I would never dream of treating people the way she does."

Parker got her first big break with a part on a "Sienfeld" episode, followed by guest-starring roles on "Dream On", "Coach", "Dave's World", "Ellen","Herman's Head", "Can't Hurray Love", "Mariied...with Children", and "Murder, She Wrote." She soon was cast in recurring roles in "The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.." TV movies include "Ed McBain's 87th Precinct", "XXX's&OOO's" and "Victim of Love: The Shannon Mohr Story."moreless

  • Andy Dick

    Owen Kronsky

    7.2
Dick was born in Charleston, South Carolina. He was adopted at birth by Allen and Sue Dick. His surname at birth was Thomlinson. Dick graduated from Joliet West High School (Joliet, Illinois) in 1984. He was in numerous productions during high school, was well known as the class clown, and was elected homecoming king his senior year in the fall of 1983. Even in high school, Dick tended to use his name as a joke. One day while dressed in the Joliet West gold athletic sweats he pulled on a pair of red shorts over his sweats and used a red towel as a cape matching his shorts. He presented himself at school as "Super Dick." He's good friends with theatre personality Anthony Rapp, who has known him since they were children. In 2004, Andy starred in a satirical reality television show on MTV called The Assistant. The show spoofed themes and scenes from The Apprentice, The Bachelor, and Survivor. Dick is also the lead singer of his band Andy Dick and the Bitches of the Century. They have appeared together on television and despite speculation otherwise are a serious performing group. They released a self-titled album in 2002. Dick also provides the voice of Maurice from the radio station WCTR's segment "Gardening with Maurice" in the video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. In 2005, Dick was featured in the documentary The Aristocrats with his own version of the joke and analysis along with explanations to some of the "acts". Always one to make a joke out of everything and everyone he could, Dick--while introducing singer Deborah Cox at a music awards show he was hosting--cracked, "Andy Dick, Deborah Cox, I wonder if we're related". Recently, Dick wrote and directed his first feature film, Danny Roane: First Time Director. He currently portrays the character "Owen Kronsky" on the ABC sitcom Less Than Perfect. Dick is openly bisexual, but says both straight and gay people have told him "C'mon, you know you're just gay." From 1986 to 1990, he was married to Ivone Kowalczyk, with whom he has a son, Lucas (born 1988). He also has a son, Jacob (born 1994), and a daughter, Meg (born 1997), from his previous relationship with Lina Sved. On May 15, 1999, Andy Dick drove his car into a telephone pole in Hollywood. He was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs and hit-and-run driving. He later plead guilty to felony cocaine possession and two other misdemeanor charges, marijuana possession and possession of a smoking device. After completing an 18-month drug diversion program, a judge dismissed felony and misdemeanor drug charges against him.moreless

  • Patrick Warburton

    Jeb Denton

    5.8
Patrick Warburton lept into pop culture consciousness as David Puddy, Elaine's on-again, off-again boyfriend on the hit sitcom Seinfeld in 1995, and has since then steadily found his deadpan talents in ever-greater demand. With his squinty eyes and hard-boiled detective's voice, Warburton has become a humorous personality who can generate giggles with almost no effort, whether onscreen or in voice-overs.

Warburton was born on November 14, 1964, in Paterson, NJ, and raised in Southern California, a son of little-known television actress Barbara Lord. The future Bugle Boy model studied marine biology at Orange Coast College, where he met his wife, Cathi, before dropping out to pursue modeling and acting at age 19. In his first screen appearance, the 17th century slave film Dragonard (1987), Warburton was subject to what is thought to be the longest onscreen flogging on film, a 100-lash scene that consumes nearly four minutes of screen time. He also appeared in the sequel, Master of Dragonard Hill (1989), before turning his attention to television.

Warburton had guest spots on such shows as Murphy Brown, Designing Women, Gone with the Whim, and Quantum Leap before scoring a recurring role on the short-lived Dave Barry sitcom Dave's World in 1993. But it was not until he appeared in the 1995 episode of Seinfeld entitled "The Fusilli Jerry" that Warburton really started to attract attention. As Puddy, Jerry's lunkhead mechanic who spits out dialogue in macho spurts, notably the catchphrase affirmation "Yeah that's right," Warburton quickly became a popular semi-regular, involved in a running joke about his frequent breakups and reconciliations with Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). He stayed with the show until it finished in 1998, and provided the voice for Superman in a series of commercials starring Seinfeld.

Warburton had another recurring role as unscrupulous businessman Johnny Johnson on News Radio in 1999, then contributed his memorable voice to characters on the animated shows Family Guy, Hercules, and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. By this time the big screen was really beckoning, as Warburton flexed his comic talents as a bodyguard in Scream 3 (2000), then toned them down as an American astronomer in Australia in The Dish (2000). His voice was again called upon, this time by Disney, for the role of a sorceress' thug assistant in The Emperor's New Groove (2000).

Going zanier than on Seinfeld, Warburton signed on as the star of the Fox sitcom The Tick, about a muscle-bound but dimwitted superhero in a blue costume, which premiered in the fall of 2001. High-profile projects in 2002 would include a role in the delayed ensemble farce Big Trouble and as Agent T alongside Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith in Men in Black 2. ~ Derek Armstrong, All Movie Guidemoreless
  • Zachary Levi

    Kipp Steadman

    9.6
Zachary Levi, born on September 29, 1980 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, is an American TV and film actor most known for his role as unwilling undercover government agent Chuck Bartowski on the NBC action-comedy Chuck. Zach, who grew up with one younger sister and one older sister, lived all over the country with his family before they finally settled in Ventura, California. At age six, he was already singing and dancing in church and acting in school and local theater productions.

After college, Levi moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue his acting dream. Initially, he worked in stage plays including a portrayal of Jesus in an Ojai production of Godspell, his performance in which caught the attention of Hollywood agents. Soon after, Zachary made TV movie debut FX's Confessions of a Campus Bookie. He then played Kipp Steadman on ABC's sitcom Less Than Perfect between 2002 and 2006. After the show ended, he appeared in numerous films and TV movies including his first big-screen film, Reel Guerrillas, and his debut as a producer, Spiral.

In 2007, Zach landed the role of his career as NBC tagged him as the title character in their "24-meets-The Office" series, Chuck. On the show, he plays Charles Bartowksi (Chuck), a superstore employee who downloads classified government information into his head, inevitably forcing him to become a government secret agent. Levi is single and continues to live in Los Angeles, California.moreless

  • Martin Mull

    Buddy Casey

    9.1
A classically trained artist, Martin fell into acting by stages. While still a student and struggling artist, Martin began writing songs and performing. First as part of a group called Soop, he performed on one album called In the Soop. Subsequent albums were under his own name, although pianist Ed Wise (who was with MM in the previous group) continued to perform with him. His break into acting came when Norman Lear offered him a role on the soap opera parody Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman. After this character was killed off (followed quickly by the assassination of Mary Hartman itself because star Louise Lasser burned herself out), Lear cast him in another parody, Fernwood 2Night, which poked fun at small-town talk shows. This was set in Fernwood, Ohio, the fictional home of Mary Hartman. For the second season, the show was renamed America 2Night. The locale was changed to a small town near Los Angeles so that big stars could appear on the show from time to time. After America 2Night, Martin appeared in numerous movies and had a recurring character on Roseanne. Currently he can be seen as the Principal on Sabrina, the Teenaged Witch. But as far as MM was concerned, this was just a side trip. His real love was, and is, in his painting. If he got some money from his acting or singing/songwriting (one of his songs was covered by Sonic Youth), it was more to buy "more tubes of paint" than anything else.moreless
  • Kathryn Joosten

    The Mule

    9.2
Kathryn Joosten is a two time Emmy Award winning actress. Joosten did not began her to hone her craft until middle age in the 1980's, after she started taking acting classes in Chicago. She started her acting career at the age of 42. Prior to finding herself under the bright lights and behind the camera lens Joosten worked as a psychiatric nurse. By the time the mid-1990's had rolled around Joosten found her way to Hollywood, where she would take on many guest roles in some of televisions most beloved shows such as Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Roseanne, Dharma & Greg, Murphy Brown, and several others. In a 1997 episode of Frasier titled 'Roz's Turn', Joosten appeared as Vera, the mother and personal secretary of Frasier's conniving agent, Bebe Glazer, played by Harriet Sansom Harris. Little did the two actresses know that they would be reunited to play neighbors in the first season of the colossal ABC hit Desperate Housewives. As 1999 approached Joosten would find herself in the role that would put her on the map, a role that she would become well known for, as Delores Landingham, secretary to the president (played by Martin Sheen) on the wildly popular West Wing. Joosten played this part for two seasons, until her character's death in a car crash in 2001. She would lend her talents to the show twice more after her death in flashback episode. Joosten's role on The West Wing opened many doors for her and gave entrance into many significant guest spots on several extremely popular shows. Since 2001, she has appeared in such shows as Scrubs in the episode titled 'My Old Lady' which won her a Humaitas Prize. Some of her other credits include The X-Files, The Closer, Grey's Anatomy, Charmed, Will & Grace, and many others. Joosten also had a recurring role as one of the less intimidating incarnations of GOD on the now canceled TV series Joan of Arcadia. Most recently Joosten can be found living on Wisteria Lane portraying Mrs. Karen McCluskey on ABC's smash hit Desperate Housewives. Joosten's Mrs. McCluskey is the lonely and most often bickering neighbor of Felicity Huffman's character Lynette Scavo. With her role on Desperate Housewives Joosten has earned two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Guest Actress In A Comedy Series in both 2005 and 2008. She has also received three Screen Actors Guild Award nominations alongside her fellow Housewives for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series from 2006 - 2008. While Kathryn Joostens name may not be one that everyone recognizes right off the bat her face and her talent certainly are. With an impeccable gift for comedic timing and the ability to make some of the most hateful characters seem lovable Joosten is definitely an A+ actress. It might have taken her a long time to begin her acting career but she isn't showing any signs of letting it go any time soon and for that we are truly happy.moreless
