Letters to Laugh-In

Show Summary

This first spin-off of Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In was a game show. It replaced The Match Game.

Laugh-In regulars and special guests read jokes sent in by home viewers. An off-camera dias of judges rated the jokes on a scale of +100 to -100. The best rated joke of the week won its writer a trip to Hawaii, while the worst rated joke of the week won its writer a trip to Burbank.

On the show's final telecast on December 26, 1969, the best rated joke of the series won its writer a new car, a 1970 Pontiac Bonneville.

Letters To Laugh-In was hosted by Laugh-In announcer Gary Owens. It was replaced after its cancellation by the game show Name Droppers, which moved from the 12:30 spot.
