Show Summary

"Get ready to get even." Meet Nathan Ford, a former insurance investigator who spent his professional career dedicated to the company that he recovered millions in stolen goods for. This same insurance company would refuse a medical claim for his son that would take the life of the innocent child. Unemployed and teetering on the edge, Nate is approached about a Robin Hood-like scheme. He enlists the help of the best thieves and grifters in the business, and with their help, he steals from the rich and gives to the poor to help balance the crooks in high power positions. He and his team help provide...leverage. Leverage is produced by Electric Entertainment.

I love this show and I think it is excellent and well written however many years ago in 1998 creators John McNamara and David Simpkins created vengeance unlimited and this is a total copy of that show. There are a few slight changes such as extra cast members of the team whereas in vengeance unlimited it was just Mr. Chapel and KC. It does not negate my enjoyment of the show but I would think it is so close to what McNamara andSimpkins created from scratch with Michael Madsen starring that there might be some type of copyright issues. It is much more like vengeance unlimited than any other similar shows in fact it's almost an exact script adding only a few changes

I am curious if anybody else remembers that show. If you're not familiar with that you can find clips of it on YouTube and you will see that extreme similarities. We tried very hard to save that show also as it is hard to find good intelligently written shows. I am sorry that leverage will not be staying on a either. It is a great showmoreless
    • Please make new episodes

I really love this show. It may not be realistic, which is fine with me, but it has humor, keeps my attention, and I LOVE the actors on the show... they are so good at what they do. It's kind of like a more up to date mission impossible which I also enjoyed but I enjoy this series even more. Are these actors doing anything else these days?? I may have seen one or two but all of them are top notch in my book. It is still ready for prime time; I for one am not tired of it. am watching marathons last week and today. I do hope it will come back.moreless
    • Started off well.

The first couple of seasons were pretty good and notable, the others -not so much.

As time went on their antics become more and more unnecessarily convoluted and unbelievable, even the characters went from 'unique' but believable to perfect glam hair all the time and slow motion action scenes/walkaways.

Take Parker -she went from this weird, quirky, socially awkward and unique individual to just some fairly attractive perfect haired Hollywood action-chick cut out.

The cherry on top is that this remarkable change and development is due to her eating some food at a decent restaurant. seriously?

Either a show lasts too long and it gets bad or it doesn't last long enough too get bad.

      Leverage lasted too long.moreless
    • Excellent!

      Overwhelming excellence!
    • Spin-off PLEASE!!!

great show, one of my favorites along with White Collar and Suits; Please bring it (or at least part of it) back!

Make Adam Baldwin, or better yet, Jeffrey Donovan, some sort of FBI handler for a trio (Elliot, Parker and Hardison) of covert "consultants" or something, handling cases "that aren't illigal, just wrong" and that the FBI can't officially pursue. Bind it along with the odd freelance side-job once in a while, all wrapped around a backbone storyline about Nate and Sophie being missing, only managing to send a clue every other episode for a few seasons. A sort of Leverage meets Burn Notice. They can even find a spot for Bruce Campbell as the sort of likeable but shady "go-to guy that can get you anything, with a wink and a smile" That'd be freggin' awesome !

I wouldn't even mind it if they all drove Hyundais and KIAs, drank Pepsi and ate Doritos and Subway on every episode to pay for the whole thing!moreless
