Leverage returned for the first time in four months for this two week event, but the episode was a bit of a letdown for me. There were a few interesting scenes, a few funny lines, but as a whole the episode just did not really do it for me. The whole storyline was mashed and thrown together, there was no entertaining villain trying to mess with Team Leverage, it just was not the kind of special episode you would expect given that this was just a temporary return and not the start of a new season.

Not bad, just not Leverage-quality.moreless

The obligatory Christmas episode - more twists and turns than expected. While Nate starts out very "Bah Humbug" he soon gets the spirit.

This episode was a lot of fun - it featured the crew in costume , annoying children visiting Santa, and the return of an old enemy. There has been a lot written about how dour Nate usually is and he started out that way in this episode. He did not want to help his client, a Mall Santa Claus because his suggestion was that the group separate for a while during the Holidays. But he does take the case. It seems a Mall owner wants to fire his veteran Santas so he can replace them with ex-cons who will help him perpetrate a huge credit card scam. It turns out the real mastermind of the plot is an old enemy - and the credit card scam is a cover-up for his real plan. All ends well, as it usually does - and the team even gets a White Christmas.moreless
