Show Summary

Liar is a British game show that challenges contestants to decide which of guest is telling the truth and which ones are the liars. Each show challenges a contestant to decide which of the six guests is really who he claims to be and which ones are making up their identities. The contestants asks each guest a series of questions and then the studio audience, tries to guess which one is telling the truth. Every time the audience makes a correct guest, each person wins a reward of 50 pounds. The contestants must each try to make their story believable and trick the audience into guessing the wrong person as the liar. If the audience guesses wrong or cannot determine who the liar is, the contestant who was the liar, takes home 10,000 pounds. The show first aired on August 1, 2002 and ended on September 1. 2002. It was created by by Harry Thompson and hosted by Paul Kaye.
